The question is this: Who will stand up while others watch silently as Trump walks America to the edge of a cliff with no democratic allies left to pull us back?
Republicans spent decades calling themselves the party of national security.
For those who meant any of it, I hope they'll say so now. History will not be kind to those who stayed quiet while Trump dismantled the architecture that kept the world from repeating the catastrophes of the 20th century.
NATO isn't just a military alliance.
It's the reason Western Europe hasn't seen a land war between major powers in 80 years.
The moment the United States walks away, every authoritarian watching from Moscow to Beijing gets the signal they've been waiting for: America is no longer reliable.
It would dismantle the peace that the Greatest Generation bled and died to build after World War II and throw away 80 years of alliances with the friends who have stood beside us through many crises since.

The Corporation for Public Broadcasting, which has kept local stations on the air for decades, is gone.
A federal judge ruled Trump’s attack on NPR and PBS unconstitutional.
The First Amendment is clear: the government can't cut funding to a news organization simply because it dislikes their coverage. That is textbook viewpoint discrimination. The court called it out.
But here is the hard truth.
This is your daily reminder that Trump and Republicans are spending billions of your tax dollars on an unauthorized war in Iran and Stephen Miller’s ICE agenda while gutting Medicaid, slashing SNAP, and driving up your health care costs.
You do not get to start a war alone and then lecture your allies for not showing up.
That is the foreign policy of someone who has never been held accountable for anything in his life.
Trump’s message to the UK: “You’ll have to start learning how to fight for yourself. The U.S.A. won’t be there to help you anymore, just like you weren’t there for us. Go get your own oil.”
Trump is criticizing European allies for not helping fight the war in Iran. The same war Trump launched without consulting them. Our European allies found out when they saw it on TV.
The world is watching. So is history.
Strength without law is not leadership.
It is the very thing we once stood against.
