Breaking news: The Pentagon has taken possession of a Qatari luxury jet sought by President Trump for use as Air Force One despite national security experts saying it raises significant cost and security concerns, and members of Congress questioning whether the deal is ethical.
Congressional Republicans are meeting to finalize this terrible bill that cuts healthcare for 14 million people. We introduced three amendments to save people’s healthcare: 1️⃣ Prevent cuts to Children’s Hospital 2️⃣ Prevent cuts to rural hospitals 3️⃣ Protect access to healthcare for cancer patients.
With enough public pressure, congressional Republicans could back off antitrust efforts, pass fair tax relief for workers, middle class families, small businesses, farmers – and not mess with people’s healthcare, pensions, and food aid.
To get back to that kind of competitive place, you need to break up a lot of this corporate consolidation. That's called antitrust work.   There’s an entire group of people dedicated to that.   Now, congressional Republicans are working on legislation to kill those efforts.
They also want to make sure the power they've consolidated is protected.    There have been efforts to break up corporate consolidation and return competition, so consumers have real choices, companies compete for our business, and prices go down.
