In yesterday’s HELP Committee hearing, I asked a simple question: Will you object to anything that doesn’t afford Americans due process? The answer should always be clear: uphold the Constitution. We can’t let authoritarianism replace rule of law.
Eid Mubarak! Wishing our Muslim neighbors across Massachusetts and beyond a blessed Eid al-Adha. May this day be a source of peace, renewal, and strength for you, your families, and the communities you hold together.
Is that a drafting error? Are Republicans hiding the ball after public pushback? Who knows. Here's what I do know: A ban on state AI regulation is irresponsible. I will fight it with everything I have.
The AI language supposedly gives states a choice: broadband money or AI rules. But under the current text, this choice is a false one. The AI moratorium language is binding on its own.
Don’t be confused: The Senate Republican AI language includes the EXACT SAME AI moratorium as the House bill. Almost word-for-word. This is a complete, 10-year ban on state AI regulation. Period.
A red circle around the AI regulation ban language reading: IN GENERAL. Except as provided in para
graph (2), no eligible entity or political subdivision
thereof may enforce, during the 10-year period beginning on the date of enactment of this subsection, any law or regulation of that eligible entity or a political subdivision thereof limiting, restricting, or otherwise regulating artificial intelligence models, artificial intelligence systems, or automated decision systems entered into interstate commerce.
Marcelo has endured too many days of hardship, and I am relieved he was ordered released from detention today. But this fight is not over. Too many of our innocent neighbors are being unjustly detained here in Massachusetts and across the country.
Ukraine is under attack. Putin threatens more. What’s Trump’s response? Watch and wait. True leadership requires standing with Ukraine, not sitting on the sidelines.
Trump says Putin plans to retaliate for Ukraine’s airfield drone attack.

Make no mistake: Trump’s latest travel ban will NOT make America safer. We cannot continue to allow the Trump administration to write bigotry and hatred into U.S. immigration policy.
Trump’s proposal to eliminate CPB funding is a reckless attack on local public media and the communities that rely on it. It would silence rural broadcasters, harm our emergency alert system, and take away educational programming from children. I will fight it every way I can.
By revoking EMTALA guidance, Donald Trump thinks he knows how to treat patients better than doctors. He doesn’t. People will die, and it will all be for Republicans’ fight for a national abortion ban.

🚨 BREAKING: Today, the Trump administration rescinded guidance meant to protect pregnant people in emergency rooms who need urgent abortion care. This guidance was ESSENTIAL for ensuring the safety of pregnant patients in crisis, especially those in states with abortion bans.

Republican cuts to Medicaid, Medicare, and the Affordable Care Act would cause 51,000 people to die per year. Every Republican who votes yes to cutting health care is telling you how many lives they’re willing to sacrifice for billionaire tax breaks.

A majority of voters support the pollution reduction and clean energy investments in the Inflation Reduction Act, which are already at work bringing down energy costs, keeping families healthy, and creating jobs. Republicans are trying to destroy it all.

It’s TACO Tuesday and Trump is demanding countries’ best trade deal offers ahead of next month’s tariff deadline. But investors and trade partners alike already know Trump Always Chickens Out.

Sending love and healing energy to my friend Dr. Opal Lee during her hospitalization. As we gear up to celebrate Juneteenth this year, I continue to be inspired by her dedication and was honored to work closely with her in the fight to recognize Juneteenth as a national holiday.
Marcelo Gomes should’ve been at Milford High’s graduation—not sitting in an ICE detention center. This isn’t public safety. It’s cruelty. It’s about instilling fear into our communities. I join the Milford community in demanding the Trump admin and ICE free Marcelo.
RFK Jr.’s so-called “Make America Healthy Again” report is riddled with inaccuracies and phantom research. It dismisses proven science, downplays real public health threats, and spreads dangerous misinformation. This isn’t a health agenda—it’s a Make America Sick Agenda.
