DHS agents killed American citizens in cold blood. They are terrorizing communities. Detaining and deporting CITIZENS. Democrats are just asking for basic accountability and reforms. And what is the Republican response? "Cry about it."
Republicans are trying to BAN medication abortion in all 50 states. They want to force women to give birth no matter the circumstances. Let me be clear: I'll be fighting to kill this bill. American women deserve full reproductive freedom and nothing less.
Stephen Miller is not above the Constitution. Trump is not a king who can sic an army of masked thugs on whatever city he wants to punish next. The American people are demanding reforms for ICE & CBP agents NOW.
BREAKING: Senate Republicans just blocked my bill to fund TSA and FEMA... AGAIN. This isn't complicated: if Republicans won't agree to rein in ICE & CBP, they should AT MINIMUM work with us to fund TSA. But they won't.
Republicans are CHOOSING to force TSA to work without pay—but it can end TODAY. I will try again to pass my bill to fund TSA and FEMA without cutting a blank check to ICE and Border Patrol. Republicans are the only thing standing in the way.
Trump may have no "yips" about boots on the ground, but I think committing American soldiers to a ground war is a serious escalation. NO boots on the ground. NO war with Iran.
In just 2 days, Trump burned $6 BILLION on his war with Iran. He's spent billions more in the days since. We could have DOUBLED our annual budget to help families afford child care. Or built more housing. Instead, Trump's spent YOUR tax dollars on a war no one asked for.
Our brave servicemembers will always answer the call and they have my unwavering gratitude and support.   War is not a game, and right now, Trump is risking American lives on a war of choice with no clear objective or endgame.   The men & women who serve deserve better.
ICYMI: Republicans BLOCKED my bill to fund TSA. Republicans are punishing travelers and forcing TSA agents to work without pay because they want to cut another blank check for ICE & Border Patrol. It's shameful.
This flippant response is absolutely unacceptable from the Commander in Chief. 11 days into Trump's war with Iran and he still cannot give the American people a clear answer on why he started this war and how long it will last.
Q: You said the war is 'very complete.' But your defense secretary says 'this is just the beginning.' So which is it? TRUMP: You could say both
We are a secular democracy. If you don't like the freedom of religion, you are welcome to move somewhere else. In America, you can be Christian, Muslim, Jewish, or anything else. It's written into our Constitution. 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸 Get lost with this garbage.
Scores of children were killed at school. A deeply horrific killing because of a war of choice. Secretary Hegseth cannot sweep this under the rug. There needs to be a full and impartial investigation—we need answers and then accountability.
Trump knows his kids & grandkids won't have to fight this war with Iran that he's sending Americans into. He knows higher prices at the grocery store & gas pump won't affect him.   It's American families that will pay the price for Trump's reckless decisions.
Republicans CHOSE to cut $1 trillion from Medicaid.   They CHOSE not to extend the ACA tax credits to keep your premiums down.   They said it was too expensive.    And yet, Republicans are completely fine with a reckless war with Iran that's costing billions.
Democrats want to get TSA agents paid, but we won't help Republicans cut a blank check to help Stephen Miller terrorize Americans.    And I won’t let Trump blackmail Democrats into funding rogue ICE agents just because he started a war with Iran.
Bombs don't bring democracy.   Trump is risking American lives with no plan for what comes next in Iran–risking another “forever” war where the American people pay the price.
