Today is National Apprenticeship Day! I’m a strong supporter of Minnesota’s 500+ registered apprenticeship programs that provide essential job training and pathways to rewarding careers with good wages helping our state build and compete in the 21st Century economy.
I recently joined my fellow Democrats on a letter to Secretary Rubio demanding answers about the unlawful arrest and detention of Mohsen Mahdawi. His release today shows that our pressure on the Trump Administration in public and in court is working.
President Trump has chosen to surround himself with more than a dozen billionaire advisors in the White House, so it should come as no surprise that he’s putting the interests of Elon Musk and his mega-donors over the needs of middle class families.
🧵: In just 100 days, Donald Trump’s actions are proving to be disastrous for Americans’ economic security. Three short months ago, our economy was GROWING at 2.4%. Under Trump, it’s SHRINKING by a rate of 0.3% — the first contraction in three years.
I’m excited to help bring the incredible innovation made possible by BioMADE to Minnesota. Working together with @governorwalz.mn.gov, we’re delivering great jobs, breakthrough manufacturing, and extraordinary economic opportunities all made possible through public investment.
As a global leader in agriculture and with a skilled workforce second to none, we’re bringing the innovative manufacturing jobs of the future to Minnesota. Grateful to the leadership of @mccollum.house.gov in getting this across the finish line. www.startribune.com/biomade-mapl...

Today we commemorate the Six Triple Eight, the only Black, all-female unit to serve in Europe during World War Two, with a Congressional Gold Medal ceremony in the Capitol. I was lucky enough to meet a few family members before the event. Thank you to those who served.
Since President Trump took office 100 days ago, he has illegally blocked over $430 billion for Americans’ food and heating assistance, health care, education, public safety, and more. @democrats-appropriations.house.gov are fighting back and keeping tabs. Learn more: t.co/JGBbG838xF.
Musk and Trump are taking a chainsaw to protections of the BWCA, and now their reckless cuts to services are limiting Americans’ access to our public lands. These special places belong to us all -- that’s why I’m leading the legislation to make BWCA protections permanent!
Grateful for the opportunity to listen to residents of Boutwell's Landing today at our town hall in Oak Park Heights. Minnesota's seniors can count on me to oppose all Republican efforts to cut Medicaid, Medicare, Social Security, and Veterans Benefits.
While Elon Musk and Donald Trump slash critical services that Americans rely on, Minnesota is taking a different path. Thanks to the leadership of @governorwalz.mn.gov, we're investing in our communities and making Minnesota the best state in the nation to build a family.
Democracy in action. Thanks to the people of Stillwater for joining me, Speaker Emerita @melissahortman.bsky.social, Representatives Josiah Hill, Peter Fischer, Kaohly Her, and David Gottfried and Senator @lizboldonmn.bsky.social for our town hall tonight. Your voices matter, and we're listening.
The Mississippi is the most endangered river in America according to @americanrivers.bsky.social. On Earth Day, I'm taking action by introducing the Mississippi River Restoration & Resilience Initiative Act — to protect our drinking water, ecosystem, and wildlife for generations to come.
Saint Paul opened the new Fire Station 7 today — the result of years of hard work and collaboration with @klobuchar.senate.gov, @mayorcarter.bsky.social, and Fire Chief Butch Inks. Old Station 7 kept the East Side safe for 100 years. Here's to the next 100!
