This Jewish American Heritage Month, I'm celebrating the many contributions of Minnesota's Jewish community from music and film to politics and our main streets. Amid a rise in antisemitism, I stand with our Jewish neighbors. Hate has no place in our community.
President Trump has abused the legal system to create a $1.7 billion taxpayer-funded political slush fund to reward Trump loyalists, including January 6th insurrectionists and rioters who assaulted police officers. This is corruption at the highest level, in plain sight.
Thank you to the brave firefighters working to fight back early season fires in northern Minnesota. Extremely dry conditions throughout the state make this a dangerous time for wildfires, and we all have a responsibility to stay avoid outdoor burning.
The U.S. Postal Service will be releasing special edition forever stamps in celebration and commemorating our nation’s 250th anniversary. These new stamps will feature the iconic bald eagle as a hatchling and throughout its life cycle into maturity.
President Trump said, “I don’t think about Americans' financial situation,” and it appears House Republicans don't either. For the third time, I joined House Democrats in voting to end the illegal war in Iran. For the third time, House Republicans voted to continue the war.
Trump promised he would lower costs on day one. Since then, costs have only gone up and he started a war in Iran without considering the consequences. Now, gas prices have surged to $4.52 per gallon. Starting wars won’t lower costs for working families. It’s time to end this unlawful conflict.
Minnesotans saw ICE & Border Patrol threaten, assault, and surveil peaceful protesters and legal observers during Operation Metro Surge. Instead of putting an end to these practices, Republicans voted to allow the Trump administration to continue violating Americans' First Amendment rights.
As law enforcement officials from across the country gather in Washington for Police Week, I want to honor the local heroes who keep our communities safe every single day — heroes like Officer Felicia Reilly, whose service and sacrifice to Saint Paul will never be forgotten.
Trump's war in Iran has pushed inflation up to 3.8%, the highest rate in nearly three years. Instead of lowering costs or making life better for the American people, Republicans are pouring your tax dollars into war, a billion-dollar ballroom, and a cruel mass deportation agenda.
Since 2004, Serving Our Troops has connected deployed service members with loved ones back home through meals, messages, and community support. Saturday it was an honor to pay tribute to members of the 133rd Airlift Wing and thank the families and volunteers and who make this tradition possible.
Wishing a happy Mother’s Day to all mothers, grandmothers, stepmothers, godmothers, and mother-figures in MN-04 and across the state. Wishing every mom and mom-to-be a wonderful day with family, friends, and loved ones.
When Trump's cuts to nutrition assistance take effect this fall, 400,000 Minnesotans will get reduced SNAP or WIC benefits — and many will lose them entirely. I'm grateful to food shelves like Today's Harvest in Maplewood for stepping up to support our neighbors with fresh, high-quality food.
