We know that the GOP's big, ugly bill wants to cut $1 trillion dollars from essential services.
@repgwenmoore.bsky.social lays it all out: buff.ly/Xa7WnVu
I’m overjoyed and can certainly say the decision ICE made today to accept Yessenia’s appeal is the right one.
She is an upstanding member of the community fleeing trafficking who has the right to have her case heard.
She holds a valid work authorization. She is not a risk to public safety. Deporting her will not make our country safer.
My office is doing everything we can to prevent Ms. Yessenia Ruano Andres, a survivor of human trafficking, from being deported tomorrow.
She has been a pillar of our community for 14 years. She is a bilingual kindergarten teachers aid and a mother to two U.S. citizens.

Let us reintroduce ourselves: We are the Democratic Women’s Caucus.
96 women strong.
And we are fighting for you in Congress, in the courts, and in our communities.
@pocan.house.gov & I were granted access to the Dodge Co. facility contracted with ICE. While it was a well-run facility, I was concerned that I couldn’t talk to any detainees.
I will continue honoring my oversight responsibilities & fighting to protect the rights of everyone on American soil.

Just wrapped up a tour with @repgwenmoore.bsky.social of Wisconsin’s only ICE detention facility.

Joining my friend, @repgwenmoore.bsky.social, to visit the only ICE Detention Center in Wisconsin. We're exercising our constitutional congressional oversight duties.
I’m here with @pocan.house.gov
at a facility in Dodge County where ICE detainees are being held.
We’re here in our oversight capacity as members of Congress to ensure their rights are being respected.
We’ll keep y’all in the loop.
Donald Trump is deporting people with valid asylum claims, fully aware they could face violence or death like my constituent Yessenia Ruano.
He does not see a difference between criminals and our hardworking neighbors.
Credit where it is due - at least “Our bill will kill you” is a lot more honest than “it doesn’t cut SNAP or Medicaid.”
I generally legislate to improve lives, not end them. But that is why we have two parties.

We checked, it’s true.
The Republican tax bill gives millionaires and billionaires a massive tax handout. A handout that is 310 times larger than what people making under $50,000 get.
@repgwenmoore.bsky.social:
People keep asking me what comes next after the House GOP passed the Big Bonanza for Billionaires and the reckless and cruel cuts it makes to healthcare.
Y'all, the fight isn't over. The fight is now in the Senate, so keep paying close attention.
The condition this article is describing is colloquially known as stagflation. The Fed is bracing for a period of GOP stagflation.
Economic policy by strong breeze 🐔🌮
Republicans keep backing this madness.
Trump announces ruinous economic policy, then chumps out, and round and round we go as we circle the drain.
Let’s hope the GOP doesn’t codify Trump’s Big Bonanza for Billionaires and do irreparable harm to the economy.
The #TACO trade goes mainstream. 🌮

If the GOP forces Medicaid cuts in final passage of their Big Bonanza for Billionaires, vital support systems that enable family caregivers to provide in-home care for elderly and disabled loved ones will be dismantled.
It's just cruel.

There just aren't enough people in America that you can cut SNAP or Medicaid to the bone to generate enough "savings" to cover the bill for these tax giveaways to the wealthiest among us.
