$806 billion: how much big corporations spent on stock buybacks in 2018, instead of passing their Tax Scam giveaways on to workers. The GOP can say what they want, but the proof is in the numbers. Tax cuts for corporations don't 'trickle down'. apnews.com/article/438f...
Today, @waysmeanscmte.bsky.social will hear about proposals to extend the Trump Tax Scam. Democrats will work with anyone to make life more affordable for American taxpayers -- But I won't support tax breaks for billionaires and big corporations paid for on the backs of the working class.
🚨 Tomorrow, the Senate will consider Pete Hegseth’s nomination. He’s totally unqualified, out of step with American values, and dangerous. His outdated views on women and far-right extremism have no place in 2025. apnews.com/article/pete...
If your plan is to take healthcare from children, seniors and struggling families to pay for tax cuts for the richest 1%, it’s not a budget plan — it’s a values statement. And it’s a damning one. www.cbsnews.com/news/trump-g...
🚨"Trump tax cuts, if made permanent, stand to benefit highest income earners"   The Trump Tax Scam didn't 'trickle down' to workers, it didn't give breaks to the middle class or small businesses, and the Tax Scam 2.0 won't either. apnews.com/article/tax-...
Even removing pandemic era losses, President Biden's economy added more jobs than any president this century -- record growth. But Republicans only consider the economy good if their billionaire donors are happy with corporate tax cuts and cheap labor. www.axios.com/2025/01/10/i...
Republicans said a recession was inevitable. They were praying for failure. Instead, Democrats delivered: ✅ Millions of good-paying jobs ✅ Booming manufacturing ✅ Historic workforce investments Watch them be the first in line to take credit as this growth continues.
The U.S. labor market added 256,000 jobs in December, a strong showing at the end of 2024, as the labor market revved up toward the end of the year. The unemployment rate ticked down to 4.1 percent.
🚨"Medicare beneficiaries who take a lot of pricey medications will get a big break in 2025"🚨 Thanks to President Biden and Democrats’ legislation, we're working to ensure seniors don't have to choose between refilling their prescriptions & paying their bills. www.cnn.com/2024/12/31/p...
ICYMI: The guy that says the January 6th Committee needs to be investigated is the same guy who said the Jan 6 tapes couldn't be released without blurring the faces of rioters. Consequences aren't the same thing as retribution, Speaker Johnson. Not that the GOP knows the difference.
You'll never guess how many House Democrats joined Blue Sky today! (Please don't guess, I lost track)
I’ve created a Starter Pack of House Democrats (and committee) accounts! I’ll continue adding as more of us join. No matter what dysfunction we may face in the coming months and years, House Democrats are here in the People’s House to fight for the people — it’s simple. go.bsky.app/QcpzVmz
Donald Trump says he wants 'one big, beautiful bill' to further his Tax Scam.   It didn't 'trickle down' or pay for itself, and it won't this time either.   America wins when we invest in our workers, not when we add to the debt to give handouts to billionaires and corporations.
