The Republican Stop Insider Trading Act falls short. It fails to hold elected officials accountable and does nothing to rebuild public trust.
This culture of corruption has gone on long enough. We need to ban congressional stock trading.
As the top Democrat on the Committee on House Administration, I'm proud to stand with @sewell.house.gov, @normajtorres.bsky.social, and @repjuliejohnson.bsky.social to demand real accountability.
The "Stop Insider Trading Act" put forth by my Republican colleagues does nothing to stop Trump's self-dealing actions.
We need real change that restores trust in our government.
When politicians trade stocks, they erode public trust.
A collapse in public trust has serious consequences for our nation.
Rochester is certainly tuned in today as the Buffalo Bills take on the Broncos! We've got your back, Buffalo.
Go Bills!
Donald Trump promised to "drain the swamp."
He has done anything but.
Governor Hochul's State of the State made clear what’s at stake. As the Trump admin. freezes federal funding for NYS child care, her commitment to expanding affordable childcare for families matters more than ever.
I'm grateful for her leadership.
Donald Trump's threats to strip federal funding from sanctuary cities and states is un-American.
Mr. President, you cannot come to Rochester and tell us how to run our community. Stay out.
My priority is a real ban on trading individual stocks for Congress, the President, and the Supreme Court, not more of the same.

Our government is not trusted by our own citizens. We need real changes, like a real congressional stock trading ban, to start restoring trust.
The Republicans' Stock Trading bill is just more Washington fake fixes. It does nothing.
Without ACA premium tax credits, families everywhere will face unaffordable premium increases.
We passed an extension of these credits in the House, we need Senate Republicans to act quickly and join us in protecting access to care for millions of Americans.
The Trump administration is once again abandoning people in crisis.
These programs save lives. Pulling the rug out from under people struggling with addiction or mental illness is devastating and cruel. This funding must be restored immediately.
Congratulations to the Monroe Red Jackets football team on their historic NYS Class B State Championship win.
This team showed us what is possible when talent meets determination and when hard work rises above the challenges you face.
When career prosecutors resign rather than follow corrupt orders, that tells you all you need to know.
Renee Nicole Good's family has been through enough.
This kind of cruelty has no place in our government.
The Trump administration’s attempt to intimidate Fed Chair Jerome Powell is a blatant abuse of power and it puts real families at risk.
Proud of Rochester’s own Ernie Clement as he earns a spot on Team USA for the World Baseball Classic! His hard work and hometown grit continue to inspire us all.
Excited to see him represent Rochester and the USA!
I'm committed to a total stock trading ban that will help restore faith in our government.
Members of Congress, the President, Vice President, members of the cabinet and the Supreme Court should not be allowed to trade individual stocks.
Once again President Trump is weaponizing the DOJ to serve his own personal interests.
An independent Federal Reserve is critical to safeguarding our economy, we cannot allow Trump's corrupt abuse of power to put that at risk.
The President wishes he had used the military to overturn an election? This is chilling.
That’s not leadership. That’s authoritarianism.
I’m outraged and saddened. This is another corrupt admission that cannot be overlooked.
