Proud to see Rochester's Mary Masciangelo and Marilyn Erickson recognized with the American Spirit Award.
Their generation of Rosie the Riveters answered the call and strengthened our nation. Their legacy of service continues to inspire us today.
As top Democrat on the Committee on House Administration, I'm holding the Trump Administration accountable for the rhetoric on deploying federal agents at polling places, an act that is a violation of federal law.
We will not let them interfere with free and fair American elections.
At a time when Americans need help affording everyday essentials, the Trump Administration is spending tens of billions, driving up costs, and making life harder for working families. It must stop.
I voted YES on a War Powers Resolution that would end Trump's illegal war in Iran. It is time to bring our service members home.
We are witnessing a level of self-enrichment by a president that has never been seen before.
Our number one focus right now needs to be on getting relief to American families who continue to face rising costs. They deserve better.
LIVE NOW: my colleagues and I on the Appropriations Committee are marking up the Interior and Transportation-HUD funding bills.
Republican proposals would cut investments in affordable housing, infrastructure, and programs that help lower costs for working families.
We're fighting back:
Bill Pulte is wholly unqualified to serve as the Director of National Intelligence. The Intelligence Community must support election administrators and defend our election critical infrastructure.
It cannot be led by a corrupt yes-man devoted to Trump’s personal vengeance agenda.
Russia has once again carried out a massive, deadly attack on innocent civilians in Ukraine.
The world must continue to support the Ukrainian people and provide Ukraine with all necessary military equipment, as it defends itself against this brutal aggression.
Through this work, we are deepening our understanding of both our world and the universe beyond it.
Great to have @mcbride.house.gov join me for a tour of L3 Harris to learn about their cutting-edge optics work for missions like the Nancy Grace Roman Space Telescope and the James Webb Space Telescope.
Families are struggling to make it from paycheck to paycheck, but Trump is using taxpayer dollars to enrich himself, his family, and his allies, all while Acting AG Todd Blanche enables him.
Watch here as my colleagues and I on the House Appropriations Committee demand answers:
My mother had more reproductive rights than my grandchildren have, and that's hard to wrap your head around.
We can't stop fighting to protect the rights we may have once taken for granted.
Here in Rochester, the home of Frederick Douglass and Susan B. Anthony, we've been in the fight for the right to vote for a long time.
To find we are back in a place where those rights are being attacked is unimaginable.
Excited to welcome Allison Hinman as the new President of the Susan B. Anthony Museum & House!
We met to discuss expansion plans and the importance of preserving and sharing Susan B. Anthony's legacy with future generations.
Happy Pride Month!
This month, we celebrate the LGBTQ+ community, honor the progress we've made, and recommit to the work ahead as we strive for a more inclusive future for everyone. To our LGBTQ+ community: we see you, we support you, and we stand with you.
We cannot unilaterally disarm while states across the country are enacting hyper-partisan redistricting at Donald Trump's request.
We have to fight back.
The Trump Administration's immigration claims are nothing but a lie. They are not going after the “worst of the worst,” and they know it.
They're going after people who are simply trying to chase the American dream because it serves them politically.
Glad to be with the community at Cloverwood Senior Living to discuss the challenges older Americans face—from protecting Social Security and Medicare to lowering health care and prescription drug costs.
Our seniors deserve dignity, security, and support in every stage of life.
Americans work too hard for their money to see it handed out to Donald Trump's political allies. Today's ruling is a win for taxpayers and a reminder that no one is above the law.
Thanks to @DemocracyForward.org and @CommonCause.org for taking this fight to court!
Omar Ramos Jimenez has lived in Rochester for 30 years, paid his taxes, started a small business, and been active in his community.
The notion he is somehow a flight risk, which is why he's been detained, is outrageous. He just wants to be home, in Rochester, with his family.
