After all of this, not one problem the president promised to solve in Iran has been solved. Instead, Donald Trump is trying to sign a deal before members of Congress and the American public even have a chance to see it, all to fix the problems he created.
Today we celebrated the opening of the Carter Park playground in Greece!   This investment gives local families a safe, modern space to play, connect, and enjoy the outdoors. Proud to support projects that strengthen our communities and improve quality of life across our region.
I’m heartbroken by yesterday’s crash at Edwards Air Force Base that claimed eight lives. As we mourn this horrific tragedy, we honor the service and sacrifice of those lost and pray for their loved ones. I am forever grateful to the brave Americans who serve our nation.
Celebrating a new chapter for the Maplewood Community Library—a welcoming space where Rochester residents of all ages can learn, connect, and grow. Libraries connect people to knowledge and opportunity. This renovated space will serve Rochester families for years to come.
I joined the Jewish Home today to discuss the challenges facing our seniors.  Their commitment to providing comprehensive, compassionate care for older adults strengthens our community. I'm working to protect access to quality healthcare and support for seniors.
I'm proud to honor 8 students from our community who have accepted appointments to our nation's Service Academies. Their leadership and commitment to serving our country are inspiring. Congratulations to each of these outstanding students as they begin this next chapter.
Social Security is a promise millions of Americans have earned through a lifetime of work. It is more important than ever for Congress to take action. I'll keep fighting to protect Social Security and strengthen the security families depend on.
Under the Trump Administration we've lost tens of thousands of manufacturing jobs and unemployment continues to rise. These are the facts, despite what Trump likes to believe. Americans deserve better.
President Trump promised to end wars, not start them. His lies dragged our country into an illegal war in Iran, where we have spent billions of dollars that could have been used to help hard working American families.
Time and again, the Supreme Court has sided with special interests and corporations over the American people. Unacceptable.   My Anti-Corruption & Democracy Reform Task Force has been hard at work with people like Marge from @peoplefor.bsky.social finding new ways to restore sanity to our courts.
Republicans want to impose new work requirements on health care while cutting the programs that help people find jobs. That's not fiscal responsibility. It's cruelty. @democrats-appropriations.house.gov are fighting back.
Samantha with @reproductivefreedomforall.org is right: without meaningful Supreme Court reform, we cannot restore Americans' reproductive freedom.
My Anti-Corruption and Democracy Reform Task Force is exploring every option to reign in this rogue court and preserve Americans' fundamental rights.
Earlier this year, DHS began constructing a detention facility in Rochester without notifying local officials or meaningfully engaging the public. The facility is being built in the same federal building as a daycare center. Watch my remarks on this issue here: www.youtube.com/watch?v=8r9t...
The Congressional Baseball Game is a great tradition which brings members together in support of causes that make a difference. While I'm not playing this year, I'll be rooting on my colleagues and celebrating the spirit of bipartisanship that makes this event so special. Play ball!
Voters deserve transparency, accountability, and the truth. That’s why I authored the AI Transparency in Elections Act: to require clear disclaimers when political ads use AI-generated images, audio, or video.
This is exactly why we need strong guardrails around AI in our elections. Using artificial intelligence to fabricate a candidate’s voice or likeness is deceptive, dangerous, and designed to confuse voters. I stand with Rep. Balint and others who are targeted by these tactics.
A political opponent recently posted a deepfake video of me on social media. It was generated using AI and fabricated my voice and image to put words in my mouth. While it represents a new - and dangerous - low, it was not unpredictable. (1/2)
NEWS: Rep. Becca Balint Responds to Deepfake Video Published on Social Media, Calls for Legislative Action

Swipe for Rep. Balint’s statement on the matter and info on the NO FAKES Act, her legislation that would confront this issue head-on.
Rep. Balint Statement on Deepfake Video

“This ad is offensive and a dangerous example of what happens when AI is used to deceive voters. Fabricating my voice and image to put words in my mouth is a new low. Free speech is a cornerstone of our democracy, but impersonation and deception are not. This was also predictable and exactly why I introduced the NO FAKES Act—to give people protections against unauthorized AI replicas of their voice and likeness and bring greater transparency and accountability to AI-generated content.”
The NO FAKES Act

Protects YOUR voice and visual likeness
Addresses the threat of digital replicas created without YOUR consent through AI
Empowers YOU to take action against bad actors who create, distribute, or profit from unauthorized digital replicas
Defends artists, creators, and anyone who uses the internet
