Lucy McBath

Lucia Kay McBath is an American politician who has served in the United States House of Representatives from a district in the suburbs of Atlanta, Georgia, since 2019. She represented Georgia's 6th congressional district from 2019 to 2023 and since 2025, and has represented the neighboring 7th district from 2023 to 2025. McBath is a member of the Democratic Party.

Two years ago, the terror attacks by Hamas claimed the lives of innocent people and took hundreds as hostages—many of whom have yet to be returned to their families. The world mourns those murdered that day and in the days since.
Vital federal workers like TSA agents and VA crisis line operators are being left without pay when there is already too much chaos and uncertainty at the hands of this administration.   I thank them for all they are doing and look forward to bipartisan cooperation that serves the American people.
Because Republicans in Congress refuse to address the skyrocketing health care costs in our country, working families are at risk of seeing their premiums more than double in the coming months.   We can't ignore that reality.

House Democrats are here in Washington, ready to avoid a Republican shutdown with bipartisan funding that protects health care. House Republicans are nowhere to be seen.
I led my colleagues in introducing a resolution recognizing National Hazing Awareness Week. Hazing has claimed far too many lives, and no parent should have to bury their child.
