It’s important for Congress to condemn antisemitism, but that’s not a substitute for concrete action to protect Jewish communities. I’ve been pushing to codify the IHRA definition of antisemitism and boost security resources for synagogues, both tangible ways to keep people safe.
A group of eight Jewish House Democrats called for action to advance the Antisemitism Awareness Act and increase Nonprofit Security Grant Program funding, in advance of votes on the House floor on a pair of resolutions condemning recent antisemitic attacks.
I’ve had the honor of meeting dignitaries from around the world, from kings and presidents to prime ministers and a pope. Now I can add Top Dog Babydog Justice to that list, someone who cuts through partisanship to bring people together 👑
It was a pleasure meeting with Captain Houck and First Officer Marin from Florida to discuss airline safety and security. Congress has to do everything it can to modernize air traffic control and ensure pilots have all the tools they need to keep our skies safe.
South Florida is facing a housing inventory crisis. Realtors like these are working hard to get Florida families into the homes they’ve always dreamed of, but we’re in agreement that more needs to be done to increase supply, lower costs, and make homeownership more accessible.
It’s the 60th anniversary of the Supreme Court’s Griswold v. Connecticut ruling protecting the right to access contraception. I’m a proud supporter of legislation to enshrine this right into law, because access to personal reproductive care shouldn’t be decided by any politician.
Today, I joined Rep. Mike Flood to introduce the bipartisan Weather Workforce Improvement Act. Hurricane season is here, and this bill is necessary to fill critical staffing needs at the National Weather Service, so communities are safe and prepared for weather events.
Today we #WearOrange for the 17 innocent lives taken at my alma mater Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School and the hundreds of thousands of lives lost to gun violence since then. We can never stop working to make our communities safer and protect Americans from gun violence.
Like most Americans, I believe government can and should be made more efficient—but Elon and DOGE have done the exact opposite. Look at what’s happened at FEMA and the FAA. There’s not a single thing that’s been made more efficient, there or anywhere.
What’s my confidence in the state of FEMA right now? To start out: — 20% of the workforce has been cut — Sec. Noem is holding up $10B in already-approved relief — FEMA’s Administrator didn’t even know we have a hurricane season Wait until he finds out there are five categories!
Moskowitz: "Nothing has been made more efficient. Here are the wins for congressional Rs. You ready? They're gonna do a $9b recession bill. They're gonna get rid of Elmo, which the American people were clamoring for, but they're gonna add $2.4t for the debt. And then they want us to cheer for them."
Moskowitz: "The Newark Airport -- that's the key example for the American people. You want to talk about how we made govt more efficient? We didn't. We made govt the Newark Airport. By the way, now that the divorce is happening with Elon Musk, who is gonna get Big Balls? I'm worried about him."
GREAT NEWS: My office just resolved its 5000th constituent case! Every day, we’re working hard to help the people of Broward and Palm Beach Counties reclaim their hard-earned tax refunds, access their Social Security benefits, secure their passports on time, and a whole lot more.
