This Congress, I'm proud serve as co-chair of the Child Labor Prevention Task Force.
No child should ever be exploited for the gain of greedy corporations — we're stepping up to protect our kids and hold bad actors accountable.
Trump tried this before — it failed, and we all paid for it.
Under his first term tariffs, our trade deficit increased, our national debt went up, and we lost manufacturing jobs.
There's no reason to think it will be different this time.
We're pushing back in Congress, in the courts, and our communities to protect you from Trump's reckless actions.
As a member of @housedemocrats.bsky.social Litigation Task Force, I'm working hard to support litigation efforts across the country — stay up to date: litigationandresponse.house.gov
As Louisville continues to face dangerous flooding and severe weather, my heart is with the families of those we've lost across Kentucky, and I'm grateful for our incredible first responders.
This weather is not over — please stay vigilant and continue to follow official guidance and alerts.
Tariffs aren't good or bad — they're a tool.
But there's no strategy behind Trump's broad tariffs.
They're like trying to fix an iPad with a hammer.
I want to bring more manufacturing jobs home, but tariffs don't solve problems on their own.
Especially not these ones.
There's no strategy behind Trump's half-baked tariffs, and Americans are already hurting. bit.ly/3RvU9T8
Trump's broad tariffs aren't based in any strategy. They're half-baked, and they're going to hurt Kentuckians.
We know this because we've seen it before — in Trump's first term.
We lose 20 veterans to suicide every day—we have to do more to treat all wounds of war, both visible and invisible. Service dogs are an incredible tool in that tool box.
Proud to join Rep. Morgan Luttrell in re-introducing our bill to connect service dogs with veterans and save lives.
My statement on Trump's broad, half-baked tariffs:
These are our friends, neighbors, and family — they've worked hard to build lives here.
The Trump Administration is upending thousands of lives in Louisville without care or thought.
It's wrong, and it's already causing chaos and heartbreak. bit.ly/4jcRutt
LOUISVILLE: Please stay alert and follow local safety guidance. My team and I will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates.
Now is a good time to sign up for LENSAlert if you haven't already — text "LENSAlert" to 67283 to opt in.
Thanks to innovation initiatives at the Department of Defense, we have the internet and GPS.
If we do the same thing at VA, we could transform health care as we know it — not just for veterans, for everyone.
Brought my girls to the Capitol to cheer on @booker.senate.gov making Americans’ voices heard on the Senate floor!
Proud to serve our country with Senator Booker, and to share this moment in history with my kids.
Beyond horrifying.
🚨🚨🚨New from @nickmiroff.bsky.social:
“The Trump administration says that it mistakenly deported an immigrant with protected status but that courts are powerless to order his return.”

Our city is home to so many men and women who bravely served our country during the Vietnam War.
Too many did not receive the honor and recognition they earned.
This weekend, my team and I hosted a pinning ceremony and joined our community to pay tribute to their service.
Today, we celebrate the love, joy, and resilience of the trans community and stand in solidarity against increased attacks at every level.
Trans rights are human rights — wanting a safe and authentic life for our trans neighbors and loved ones shouldn't be radical. #TDOV
Wishing a joyous and blessed Eid Mubarak to everyone celebrating in Louisville!
Ahead of Vietnam War Veterans Day, I was honored to meet with local Vietnam Veterans at AMVETS61 to recognize their service and show them the gratitude many never received.
Thank you to everyone at post 61 for hosting and for your continued service!
Trump is attacking workers rights — he does not care about working families.
Unions are the backbone of our country. I stand with my brothers and sisters in labor. bit.ly/3DWyNeF
LOUISVILLE: If you or a veteran you know served during the Vietnam War — at home or abroad — please join us tomorrow for a pinning ceremony.
