The wildfires in Southern California are absolutely devastating — my heart goes out to everyone affected.
I'm grateful for the first responders working tirelessly to protect Californians under difficult circumstances, and we'll do everything we can to support them.
President Carter's legacy sets a powerful example for all of us.
His impact in our commonwealth, our country, and the world will not be forgotten as we continue working toward the future he envisioned. bit.ly/4gMfGC3
From Louisville to DC, the snow isn’t slowing Team McGarvey down ❄️
In Washington we’re certifying election results, and back at home we’re doing all we can to make sure Louisvillians are safe and warm — give us a call if we can help: (502) 582-5129
Peaceful certification of a free and fair election is the cornerstone of every democracy.
Today, I upheld my oath and certified the 2024 election results. This is our responsibility as Members of Congress. I may be disappointed with election results, but I won’t deny them.
Four years ago, Donald Trump incited a violent insurrection in an attempt to overturn the results of a free and fair election he lost.
This solemn anniversary is a reminder that our democracy is sacred, and we must never stop fighting to defend it.
LOUISVILLE: With a severe winter storm approaching, I am encouraging everyone to stay safe, prepared, and alert.
My team and I have put together a list of resources and information that may be useful to you. Visit my website, here: mcgarvey.house.gov/winter-storm...
I have a feeling there might be some penalties on the floor today… 🤔 ready to throw a flag on the play if needed
President Carter’s accomplishments and impact are matched only by his compassion, decency, and humility. Thank you for your example and for all you did to make our world a better place.
Well done good and faithful servant.
Wishing a happy first night of Hanukkah to all celebrating in Louisville tonight! I hope your holiday season is filled with peace, light, and blessings.
Merry Christmas to all celebrating in Louisville! Hope your day is filled with lots of love and joy 🎄
Elon Musk—who has received billions of dollars in federal subsidies—will cost Kentucky nearly a billion dollars of federal support for farmers, small businesses, and families impacted by natural disasters.
Trump’s co-president Elon Musk took billions in government subsidies to help him become the richest man on earth but is demanding the GOP force a shutdown that will hurt people who actually work for a living.
It’s once again whatever Trump’s billionaire buddies want over everyone else.
As Amazon Teamsters across the country unite to win their first Teamsters contract, I'm standing in solidarity with every hardworking American's right to organize.
Every worker deserves the rights, respect, wages, benefits, and job protections they’ve earned.

Beyond grateful to have so many dedicated partners in the fight to protect the Ohio River.
Thank you @americanrivers.bsky.social, @nationalwildlife.bsky.social, & the Ohio River Basin Alliance for joining us this morning to announce the Ohio River Restoration Program Act—this is only the beginning!
Reposted byRep. Morgan McGarvey
A big day for the #OhioRiver: @repmcgarvey.bsky.social is announcing a bill to create an EPA program office dedicated to restoration + protection of the Ohio.
The Ohio River, McGarvey says, is the largest U.S. waterbody without dedicated federal funds. Story:

The Ohio River needs our help.
It's the second most endangered river in the country, but it doesn't receive any dedicated federal funding—Rep. Houchin and I are working to change that.
Today, we introduced the first ever comprehensive bill to tackle the threats facing the Ohio.
Very honored to join Whip Katherine Clark's team as a Chief Deputy Whip for the 119th Congress.
In the coming years, strong leadership and unity among our Democratic colleagues will be the key to moving our country forward—let's get to work!
Headed back to DC for our last week in Congress before the year ends — looks like everyone is getting in the holiday spirit ❄️

Alignment stats consider only votes where a clear yes/no majority existed for the legislator's party. Cross-party marks divergence where the vote matched the opposite party majority. ↔ indicates cross-party divergence.
