Trump's big, ugly bill will hurt Californians, gutting Medi-Cal and leaving 2.3 million without the care they rely on.
Medicaid is a lifeline for so many. I'm a firm NO on this big, ugly bill.

Here's how Republicans' cruel budget cuts are expected to disproportionately impact people with disabilities:

My constituent, Corey, is disabled and relies on a group home only made possible by Medicaid reimbursements.
Today, I’ll be thinking of Corey when I vote NO on Trump’s big, ugly bill that strips healthcare from 17 million people including children, seniors, & those with disabilities.
Trump is withholding $811 million in funding from California schools.
This money pays for after-school programs, English language instruction, teacher professional development, & more.
This is catastrophic. We should support our teachers & students, not leave them scrambling with no explanation.
Trump's big, ugly bill just got uglier. It strips healthcare and food assistance from millions, guts clean energy tax credits, and adds $4 TRILLION to the U.S. debt.
All to give tax breaks to billionaires.
I'm heading to DC to vote NO.
Senate Republicans made Trump’s big, ugly bill even uglier.
It slashes health care and food assistance for people who need it most, while adding $3.3 TRILLION to the national debt.
This is a handout for the ultra-wealthy and a betrayal to working families. I'm heading back to DC to vote NO.
Do you or someone you know want to gain hands-on experience working on Capitol Hill?

Public transit in the U.S. needs some major improvements.
As part of next year's Surface Transportation Reauthorization, I'm submitting several bills to make our transportation sector more efficient and sustainable.

This decision is extremely dangerous. It opens the door for attacks on the 14th amendment & threatens the longstanding principle that if you are born in the U.S., you are a citizen.
Birthright citizenship is a constitutional right, and the President must comply with the constitution.
Planned Parenthood provides critical health care, cancer screenings, birth control, STI testing & more to Medicaid patients in CA-15 and nationwide.
I join @reprocaucus.bsky.social in denouncing SCOTUS's decision and attacks on the right to access quality health care without partisan interference.
Today we honor a decade since the Supreme Court’s pivotal decision in Obergefell v. Hodges, which secured marriage equality nationwide.
Proud to stand with @equality.house.gov as we celebrate this milestone and continue pushing for justice and equal rights every day.
Republicans are pushing a bill that prioritizes polluting gas plants, while affordable clean energy projects get stuck in line.
We should be clearing the way for clean, reliable energy—not blocking it. @energycommerce.bsky.social
Under the Republican budget, the nonpartisan CBO estimates that 16 million people will lose their health insurance.
That includes, kids, parents, seniors, veterans, & people with disabilities who rely on Medicaid.
House Democrats are united in protecting your health care and stopping this budget.
Republicans want to cut veterans' services like housing, food assistance, & education— just to fund tax breaks for billionaires.
Veterans in the bay area rely on VA hospitals, but this bill would slash their quality medical care.
I’m voting NO and standing with our servicemembers.
It’s been 3 years since Roe v. Wade was overturned.
As Republicans continue to attack reproductive freedom, Democrats are fighting back.
I’m a proud cosponsor of the Women's Health Protection Act—because people, not politicians, should have the freedom to make their own healthcare decisions.
Improper disposal of wet wipes damages infrastructure & costs California utilities and consumers tens of millions each year.
I'm excited that the bipartisan WIPPES Act, which mandates clear ‘Do Not Flush’ labeling, passed the House yesterday.

Republicans want to sell 16.6 million acres of public lands in CA.
Our forests, wildlife habitats, & recreation areas are at risk of being sold with no public input — all to fund tax breaks for billionaires. We must protect public lands against private interests.

Earlier this year, I led a letter urging the State Dept to reverse Trump’s discriminatory passport policy that endangers trans, non-binary, & intersex Americans.
I’m glad to see it struck down in court. We must keep working to defend the rights and dignity of all Americans.
This #Juneteenth, we celebrate the 160th anniversary of when news of emancipation finally reached enslaved people in Galveston, TX. As we reflect on the resilience of Black people across #America, we must also recommit to the ongoing work needed to protect fundamental freedoms, equality & justice.
LBGTQ+ rights are human rights. It's disturbing to see SCOTUS rolling back protections for trans youth.
Healthcare decisions should be left up to an individual & their doctors – not politicians sowing division with fear tactics.
