Last week, the Administration deported a 10-year-old U.S. CITIZEN diagnosed with BRAIN CANCER with her family in Texas while they were on their way to receive medical care.

The Trump Administration has taken unprecedented, inhumane and often unlawful actions to target individuals and families from immigrant communities across the country. Not concerned? Won’t impact you? Please read this 🧵
Our next Mobile Office Hours are coming up! Team Menendez will be at the Bayonne Library on Tuesday, March 18th at 4 PM. If you need help with a federal agency, be sure to stop by or call us at (201) 309 -0301!
It was a pleasure to join the Hoboken Elks for their St. Patrick’s Day celebration. Congratulations to this year’s honorees, Sean Connors, Lauren Denney, and Mandee Bellarosa! Always great to be in Hoboken!
I always love being part of the Jersey City St. Patrick’s Day Parade! And especially when I get to spend time with our friends from organized labor. So great to see everyone in the community yesterday!
In Congress, I’ve fought for millions for projects in NJ-08 like flood mitigation, lead pipe replacement, and pedestrian safety. So while the GOP stripped away this funding source, I’ll continue to fight for these projects and every resource available that will improve the lives of New Jerseyans.
NEWS: Congress is about to pass a bill that would cut funding for local projects nationwide.
In New Jersey, that means losing more than $200 MILLION in federal funding.

House Democrats are united under @hakeem-jeffries.bsky.social to present an alternative to the American people - one that puts our constituents first. We are fighting for them every single day and have held the line. The Senate should do the same.
Happy Holi to all who celebrate! At a time when the darkness and chaos around us can feel overwhelming, may the Festival of Colors illuminate all of the good that exists in our communities. Best wishes for the coming year!

I appear to live rent free in the minds of some of my Republican colleagues.
I wish that they would spend even a fraction of the time that they spend thinking about me, thinking about how to lower costs for American families.
Raul Grijalva was a dear friend and colleague and I’ll miss his presence in Washington. A fierce champion for the environment, tribal communities and Latinos across the country - a true leader. My thoughts are with his family, friends, staff, and constituents.
House Dems were united against the disastrous Republican funding bill.
And we’re united and ready to come back today, tomorrow, or Friday (before funding expires) to pass a four-week funding bill to keep the government open.
It’s simple. All Republicans need to do is show up to get this done.
Rep. Pettersen is such a force. Because of her efforts, we’re one step closer to allowing remote voting for new parents. An important step to make Congress more accessible to more Americans who want to serve.
House Dems stood united against the GOP’s harmful funding bill. Now is the time for Dem Senators to hold the line and do the same. Reconciliation only requires a majority vote, so it’s now or never. Vote NO on cloture and the bill, and let’s pass short-term funding to keep the government open.
Important conversation yesterday with ACOG members from NJ about the potential impact of cuts to Medicaid on maternal health. The stories they shared are the reason we must not just fight for Medicaid but fight to expand access and resources for maternal health including through the Momnibus Act.
It was a special moment to get to introduce @mayorbollwage.bsky.social before our @energycommerce.bsky.social hearing today! During his tenure as mayor, Elizabeth has become a national leader in environmental remediation. Grateful that he could share his expertise with the committee today.
Grateful to @rasjbaraka.bsky.social and all of the advocates for making it clear that private immigration detention facilities like Delaney Hall run counter to the values of our district and state. Proud to stand with you in the fight to protect our immigrant communities, friends and neighbors 💪
This goes far beyond keeping the government open - it enacts a harmful agenda that will impact every corner of New Jersey and our country. That’s why I’m a F NO on this Republican funding bill.
⭕ $10 billion to ICE to fund private detention and attacks on our immigrant friends and neighbors
⭕ $280 million in cuts to research for critical diseases like Alzheimer’s and cancer
⭕ Shortchanging veterans and failing to fully fund their healthcare coverage
Here’s the truth about the Republican government funding bill.
It includes:
⭕ $700 million in cuts to rent subsidies for low-income and working class Americans
⭕ $2 billion in cuts to airport, road, railway, and port safety projects
Airspace in NJ and NYC is some of the most congested in the world - made worse by non-essential helicopter traffic in our district. That’s why I’m calling on the FAA to ensure we’re keeping our passengers and aviation professionals safe.

Alignment stats consider only votes where a clear yes/no majority existed for the legislator's party. Cross-party marks divergence where the vote matched the opposite party majority. ↔ indicates cross-party divergence.
