Did you know nearly 1 in 5 people in NJ rely on Medicaid for health coverage—mostly kids, pregnant women & our most vulnerable neighbors?
Right now, Republicans are negotiating trillions in cuts that would take health coverage away from kids to pay for corporate tax breaks.
That’s unacceptable.

Parks play a vital role in bringing communities together, which is why I’m committed to leading the charge to ensure they continue to thrive.

Trump firing NLRB Board Member Gwynne Wilcox is illegal & weakens labor law enforcement, leaving workers vulnerable.
That’s why I joined the @laborcaucus.bsky.social in demanding the Trump admin reinstate her immediately. A fair & functioning NLRB is essential to protect workers' rights.
As we thought they would, Republicans are coming after Medicaid - cutting taxes for the wealthiest Americans by cutting healthcare for the most vulnerable. More than 80,000 children and 21,000 seniors in the Eighth District rely on Medicaid for health coverage. We'll keep fighting for them.

With all the challenges we face as a nation, it fills me with pride to see the youth in our community eager to serve our country. Today, I had the honor of calling a high school senior from North Bergen to share the exciting news—he’s been accepted to West Point!
Gary Greenberg embodied public service, dedicating his life to uplifting our community—especially our youth. As Executive Director & CEO of the Boys and Girls Clubs of Hudson County, his impact was profound. Honoring his legacy was a privilege, and his contributions will never be forgotten.
As a member of @energycommerce.bsky.social, I’ll be on the front lines pushing back. @housedemocrats.bsky.social won’t stand by while Republicans strip away healthcare for kids, pregnant women & vulnerable families. We’ll fight to protect Medicaid & make sure the American ppl know what’s at stake.
We know Trump wants to “flood the zone” with constant news to overwhelm people. We aren't going to let that happen. That’s why I am sounding the alarms on what they plan to do next: cut one of the country’s most important health programs - Medicaid. Here’s why you should care 👇
Went to the House Floor today to recognize Ms. Kim Nesbitt Good. As a pillar of Elizabeth, she has worked to uplift Black voices, stories and history. It is important that we recognize those who contribute so much to our communities, not just this #BlackHistoryMonth, but every day.

Please know that this is just the beginning. You sent me to Washington to fight for you, and that’s exactly what I’ll do - because there’s simply too much at stake.
We are monitoring pending litigation which will challenge the Administration at every step. This week, the NJ Delegation met with Gov. Murphy and his team to ensure we are working hand-in-hand. We are doing this at the local, county, state and federal levels. We are all partners in this together.
I cosponsored the Taxpayer Data Protection Act, which would limit who can access critical systems related to your data. Nobody voted for Elon Musk and his band of acolytes. And they should not be given unfettered access to your information without any accountability measures. Period.
If he truly believes all the actions DOGE and his Administration are taking will benefit the American people, then they should be transparent about it (instead of locking doors and working in complete secrecy.)
I also joined letters with my colleagues to demand answers from the Administration. We know that Trump wants to flood the zone with actions to confuse and distract us but he has a constitutional responsibility to inform us of how these actions impact the American people.
Dozens more of us attempted to do the same at the Treasury Department and when we were turned away, we rallied outside with thousands of concerned citizens. We’ll keep this up for as long as we have to.
Along with Reps. McIver and Watson Coleman, I conducted oversight of ICE at the Elizabeth Detention Center. In addition to visiting EDC, we are requesting information constantly to know what ICE is doing in our communities and coordinating with local electeds and groups. More to come on this soon.
My Democratic colleagues and I are working tirelessly to maintain the checks and balances with the Executive Branch and conducting oversight of federal agencies. That’s exactly what we’ve done over the past week.
