Libraries are the cornerstones of our communities, providing vital resources, services, and support while fostering life-long learning. I’ll continue to push back against this misguided decision to protect the libraries we love and rely on. (2/2)
The Trump administration’s move to dismantle the Institute of Museum and Library Services threatens our beloved community libraries across Delaware—including the Lewes Public Library, which I visited last week. (1/2)
It was an honor to attend the Delaware National Guard’s deployment ceremony of the 101st PAD in support of the Kosovo Forces 35 Mission. Our state and the nation thank them and their families for their service, especially in this moment, as we work to protect our interests at home and abroad.
Rep. McBride gives remarks at a podium during the deployment ceremony.
DEMEP has supported more than 400 local jobs and helped small and mid-sized businesses grow across all three counties. President Trump is ripping opportunity away from Delaware’s working families. (2/2)
Hours before Trump announced his drastic and damaging tariff policies, his administration defunded the program that boosted American manufacturing and innovation, including the Delaware Manufacturing Extension Partnership. (1/2)
A graphic with a portion of a WIRED article titled "Trump and DOGE Defund Program That Boosted American Manufacturing for Decades." Below the article title is a quote from Rep. McBride which says, "Trump is ripping opportunity away from Delaware's working families, and I'll fight with everything I have to reverse this reckless and cruel decision."
That's why I led a letter with @kellymorrisonmn.bsky.social and Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib urging this administration to take immediate action to exempt items for young children, including car seats, highchairs, strollers, and cribs from these harmful taxes on everyday Americans. (2/2)
Graphic with images of the letter with a quote below it that reads: "We remain concerned that the Administration's tariffs will exacerbate the cost of caring for babies and toddlers."
President Trump’s top national security team — some of the most surveilled people on the planet — have been carelessly handling classified and mission-sensitive information. Signalgate isn’t just embarrassing—it’s dangerous.
Republican leadership is throwing a temper tantrum over a bill to allow proxy voting for new parents in Congress. It got so bad that they cancelled votes for the rest of the week. For a party that is supposedly "pro-family," they have a funny way of showing it.
Trump signed an executive order late last night that illegally strips workers of their collective bargaining rights. This will impact over one million Americans. I’ll support all efforts to stop this egregious assault on labor unions.
If you're wondering what the House of Representatives is voting on later today, it's legislation to repeal energy efficiency rules for commercial fridges and freezers that actually save small businesses and consumers money. The absurdity never ends.
Through hard work and dedicated investment, Seaford's main street has gone from 90% vacancy to more than 90% occupancy - and the city is continuing to build on that progress with the new Nylon Capital Center. (2/3)
It was out of this world to meet with Bill Nye and The Planetary Society on the Hill yesterday! We both agree that fostering investments in planetary science and space exploration, especially through NASA, are so important to our collective future — and something we can all agree on.
