Millions of Americans rely on cash, yet more places are refusing to accept it. That’s wrong. I introduced the bipartisan Payment Choice Act so people have the freedom to choose how they pay for products with their hard-earned money. Read more in my piece today in The Hill:
Today marks one year of Trump in office. He promised to bring costs down. Instead, his inflation forced New Jersey families to pay $2,060 more in just one year for housing, transportation, and everyday essentials. Working families pay the price.
As a member of Congress and the NATO Parliamentary Assembly, I strongly oppose President Trump’s threats against Greenland, a NATO ally. The idea of invading Greenland is outrageous and dangerous. If acted upon, it will be remembered as one of the worst foreign policy decisions in U.S. history.
Congrats to my friend and former colleague, Mikie Sherrill on being sworn in as the Governor of New Jersey. I look forward to continuing to work together to lower costs and deliver real results for working families across our state.
On Martin Luther King Jr. Day, we honor Dr. King’s legacy by continuing the fight for justice, dignity, and opportunity for every American. His work reminds us that real progress comes from standing up for one another and doing what’s right, even when it’s hard.
Republicans promised to lower costs on day one. Nearly a year into Donald Trump’s presidency, inflation is up and working families are paying more for groceries, health care, and everyday essentials. This is unacceptable.
Trump and Republicans' reckless actions have driven up prices while lining the pockets of billionaires. I am fighting to lower costs for working families by protecting healthcare, making the enhanced ACA tax credits permanent, and making everyday expenses more affordable.
I joined a bipartisan letter urging Secretary Rubio and the State Department to continue condemning the Iranian regime’s violent crackdown on peaceful protesters. The United States must stand for human rights, accountability, and the right of people to determine their own future.
HUGE WIN. After the Trump Administration moved to slash nearly $2 billion in mental health and addiction treatment funding, I signed on to a bipartisan letter demanding they reverse their decision. Today, they announced the funding will be restored!
I signed onto a letter demanding transparency and accountability after ICE agents fatally shot a U.S. citizen in Minneapolis. When federal power is abused and lives are lost, the public deserves the truth.
Slashing $1.9 billion from mental health and substance use disorder treatment will no doubt lead to more overdoses and more grieving families. In South Jersey, we’ve made real progress saving lives and expanding care through smart investments.
It’s an embarrassment that the federal minimum wage hasn’t been raised in over 16 years. This summer, Republicans voted to give tax breaks to billionaires. When will they finally vote to support the American worker?
Great meeting today with the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Government Affairs Director, Dean Warsh. As a proud IBEW member, it’s always good to talk about how we can stand up for workers by advancing strong, pro-labor policies such as the Faster Labor Contracts Act.
