It takes 458 days on average for unions to get their first contract. That's not by accident.
The Faster Labor Contracts Act will give Americans a fair chance to bargain collectively by requiring negotiations to start 10 days after workers vote to unionize.
Today is National Voter Registration Day. The deadline to register for the General Election is October 14, 2025. Check your registration today so you can make your voice is heard. nj.gov/state/electi...
When workers vote to form a union, they should have a seat at the bargaining table. But too often, companies stall the process, leaving workers without a voice.
The Faster Labor Contracts Act fixes that. Join me, the @teamsters.bsky.social, and Rep. Stauber live at 2 pm to introduce the bill:
But we can't give up on the progress we've made. My Modernizing Opioid Treatment Access Act builds on what works and reforms the outdated regulations around methadone. If you can get a prescription for opioids at the pharmacy, you should be able to get your treatment there too.
The New York Times is right: opioid deaths are finally declining after years of devastation. Trump’s Big Ugly Bill threatens to erase that progress. Two-thirds of patients in opioid treatment rely on Medicaid and Trump's cuts put their care and treatment facilities at risk.
Prisoners of war and those missing in action gave more to our country than we can ever measure. Their courage will never be forgotten as we hold their memories in our hearts.
Today marks the start of Hispanic Heritage Month. We celebrate the history, culture, and many contributions of Hispanic Americans to South Jersey and our nation.
Enjoying the weekend? Thank a union!

Every year, 1.7 million Americans develop sepsis, & it is the leading cause of death in U.S. hospitals. After surviving sepsis, I know we can do more to save lives. My SEPSIS Act will strengthen our national response, support our healthcare providers, & give every patient the best chance to survive.
ICE agents should not be allowed to target people based on race or language. I signed a letter with 65+ colleagues demanding DHS stop unconstitutional racial profiling and be held accountable.
Too many employers use mandatory meetings to scare workers away from joining unions. New Jersey’s new law makes it clear: workers can’t be punished for refusing to sit through anti-union meetings. No one should be intimidated for wanting basic worker protections.
Join me and officials for a town hall meeting at Haddon Heights High School tomorrow night at 6pm. You can RSVP and submit questions at www.camdencounty.com/townhall/
Twenty-four years later, we remember the lives lost on September 11, and honor the heroes who responded on that dark day. We will never forget their sacrifice.
Political violence is never acceptable. The shooting of Charlie Kirk must be condemned. I'm thinking of Charlie Kirk and the entire Kirk family during these troubling times.
Today is World Suicide Prevention Day. Too many families know the pain of losing a loved one. Together, we can break the stigma, expand access to mental health care, and remind each other: you are not alone.

I’m incredibly proud to stand alongside @schiff.senate.gov, @ocasio-cortez.house.gov, and @norcross.house.gov in introducing legislation to ensure striking workers have access to unemployment insurance.
The Department of Housing & Urban Development was created in 1965 as part of the Great Society to improve housing and strengthen communities. Sixty years later, too many working families are still priced out of homeownership. We can and must do more.
Immigrants make our nation stronger.
We’ve waited too long for a real legal path to citizenship.
Last week, I met with members of @crindivisible.bsky.social to discuss conditions at Delaney Hall Detention Facility in Newark, the Trump Administration's plans to house undocumented immigrants at Joint Base McGuire Dix Lakehurst, and the challenges families face when visiting loved ones.
