Career and technical education empower the next generation of leaders, from electricians to cybersecurity experts. It’s time to invest in our students and give them the tools to achieve stable, high-paid careers.
During Black History Month, we celebrate the contributions Black Americans have made to our country, culture, and democracy. Far too often, Black historical figures are left out of our history books. This month and every month, we work to ensure their stories are told.

The plane crash last night in DC is a horrific tragedy. Today, all of America mourns the lives lost and is thinking of their loved ones. My office is monitoring this developing story and working to learn what happened and how to ensure this never happens again.
As a graduate of a registered apprenticeship program, I know the value of skill-based education. Certificate programs give students the hands-on skills they need to get good-paying jobs. We need options that give everyone a chance at success.

Today, on International Holocaust Remembrance Day, we mark 80 years since the liberation of Auschwitz and honor the 6 million Jewish lives lost. As Jewish families around the world face rising antisemitism, we must work to ensure that 'never again' is a promise kept.

Twelve years ago, the Department of Defense removed the combat exclusion policy for women. Since then, countless women have put their lives on the line to serve and protect our nation. I’m inspired by their bravery and excited to see the next generation of women warriors leading the way.
As a union electrician, I know what it means to fight for a living wage and fair treatment at work. I stand with @dcculinaryunion.bsky.social workers at Le Diplomate, Rasika, and others as they organize for dignity on the job and a fair day's wage for a hard day's work.
These pardons go against everything that our country stands for. 4/4
Police officers were seriously injured, and multiple died while answering the call to defend American democracy and our elected leaders. We are not a country that tolerates violence against elected leaders or assaults on law enforcement. 3/4
I watched as insurrectionists attacked the U.S. Capitol while chanting that they wanted to hang Vice President Pence and kill Speaker Pelosi. These individuals wanted to kill our elected leaders, no different from the assassination attempts on President Trump. 2/4
