House Republicans are wasting time amid a potential government shutdown to urgently authorize a “National Coal Council” — the same council President Trump already re-established in June!
4 months later?
No plans. No meetings. No members.
Just a website that says “Coming Soon.”
Make no mistake — FCC Chairman Carr’s actions are a clear and unlawful abuse of power.
Shameful.

Members of Congress shouldn’t be trading stocks.
And neither should the Director of the FBI.
Earlier this year, I was honored to stand with my constituents, Jill and Michael White, to introduce the Magnus White Cyclist Safety Act in memory of their incredible son. The bill implements common-sense solutions to prevent tragedies and ultimately save lives.

The best part of representing Colorado’s 2nd District?
Visiting with my constituents!
Many thanks to everyone who stopped by a few days back at our “Congress on Your Corner” table in Breckenridge — appreciated hearing your insights, concerns & suggestions.

For years, I’ve worked to improve working conditions for our brave wildland firefighters.
Proud that our efforts on the provisioning of protective equipment were successful, and that after our letter last week the Forest Service has reversed its policy.
Our work continues!

Today, we remember and mourn the nearly 3,000 Americans we lost 24 years ago on September 11, 2001 in the worst terrorist attack in our country's history. We honor the many sacrifices of law enforcement & the first responders who showed incredible courage on that terrible day. We will #NeverForget 🇺🇸
Thinking of our students & teachers — this senseless violence must stop.
Horrified by the terrible shooting at Evergreen High School, and grateful to law enforcement & first responders for their brave efforts. Our office is in contact with local and state authorities, and will be there for the Evergreen community.
🚨 UPDATE —
Because of our efforts, the Forest Service has announced it will provide protective masks to our wildland fire-fighters!
Our work to improve working conditions for our wildland firefighters continues.
Proud to reintroduce Ally’s Act, my bipartisan bill that ensures private insurers cover osseointegrated devices like bone-anchored hearing aids.
Let’s get this done!
House Republicans’ obsession with Joe Biden continues unabated — including during our Rules Committee hearing this morning!
Grateful to visit with Bill Nye the Science Guy of the Planetary Society about the proposed cuts to NASA and NOAA— we’re fighting every step of the way to stop the cuts & protect these vital scientific institutions!
Back home in Colorado for about 72 hours this week — which was plenty of time to host our 16th public town-hall!
Many thanks to everybody who joined us in Eagle County today and made their voices heard.

Recent reports indicate worsening working conditions for U.S. Forest Service wildland firefighters — and as Ranking Member of the Federal Lands Subcommittee, I am leading my colleagues in demanding answers.

Groceries, healthcare, consumer goods — EVERYTHING is becoming more expensive due to the Trump administration’s reckless policies.
House Republicans’ response?
More coal mining.
Seriously.

Over the past few weeks, we:
📍Visited with folks in 11 counties;
📍Held events in 20 cities across Northwest Colorado; and
📍 Held our 15th public town hall — more than most Members of Congress in the country.
We’ll keep showing up — in communities large and small!
