Earlier today, I joined my colleagues in an oversight visit to the ICE detention facility in Aurora. Trump’s mass deportation policies are wreaking havoc in our communities — and real oversight matters more than ever.

Earlier today, we filed a motion to require the Trump-Vance administration comply with federal law during the course of our lawsuit, Neguse et al. v. ICE et al. Blocking Members of Congress from conducting oversight visits to ICE facilities is an affront to the rule of law. Period. ⬇️⬇️⬇️

Over the past few weeks I’ve visited with folks at farmers markets across our district — including Boulder and Fort Collins — and this morning I was grateful for the opportunity to speak with countless constituents at the Farmers Market in Longmont!
I was proud to build a coalition that helped stop Senator Mike Lee’s attempt to sell-off our public lands. Yesterday I joined @lcv.org, @wilderness.org and folks from across Colorado in Boulder for a hike and to discuss the battles ahead to protect our treasured public lands! 🏔️🏔️🏔️

Zebra mussels are harming the Colorado River. Our EXPLORE Act — signed into law last year — would help mitigate this crisis if it were fully implemented. Today I joined Senators Bennet and Hickenlooper in imploring DOI & USDA to immediately implement the legislation’s measures to protect the river.
President Trump’s disastrous budget bill will have a devastating impact on healthcare access in rural Colorado — yesterday I met with local leaders and healthcare professionals in Eagle County as we work together to navigate a path for families across the Western Slope.
Grateful to the National Guard & the many firefighters and emergency personnel battling the Elk and Lee wildfires in Rio Blanco County, and am keeping our neighbors in Meeker and across Northwest Colorado in my thoughts and prayers.

House Republicans literally shut down the Rules Committee to avoid releasing the Epstein files. While the committee now remains in recess, below are a few clips from the last few months. To be continued . . .
Grateful for the opportunity to discuss challenges and opportunities with local leaders from across Clear Creek County yesterday in Georgetown, including economic development, the I-70 Floyd Hill project & more!

I’m proud to have hosted 14 town-halls in the past 7 months — more than most Members of Congress in the country. My Republican colleagues in Colorado have held NONE. I’ll keep showing up and standing up — for the Western Slope, Northern Colorado, and every corner of our great district!

Congratulations to Sabra of Granby for winning the 2025 Congressional Art Competition for Colorado's 2nd Congressional District. Her artwork, “Colorado Roots Run Deep,” will proudly hang in the halls of Congress for the next year for countless people to see. 🖼️ 🎨
Though we continue to make progress, the Trump Administration’s proposed cuts to NOAA remain a five-alarm fire. I’ll keep utilizing every legislative tool available to push back against these reckless attacks on our labs and research facilities.
60 years ago, Medicare & Medicaid became the law of the land, providing health care for millions of Americans. Today, these life-saving programs that countless Coloradans depend on are under attack by Donald Trump and Republicans in Washington. House Democrats will keep pushing back.
I’ve lived in Colorado nearly all my life. From Douglas County — where I grew up— to the suburban, rural & mountain communities in Northern & Western Colorado I’m honored to serve, there is no debate that we live in the best state in the country! Happy Colorado Day! ⛰️ ⛰️ ⛰️
One year ago today, emergency response teams were fighting wildfires in Larimer and Boulder counties. We remain incredibly grateful to the brave first responders who acted swiftly to fight the flames and our communities who came together to help neighbors in need.
