It’s DAY 9 of the REPUBLICAN RETREAT.
Americans are feeling the sting of Republicans shutting the government down so they could jam through the biggest price hikes to your health insurance in recent history. All those missed pay checks and hours of waiting are on them.
My heart is with the families who have fought, prayed, and waited every single day for this moment, who may now see their loved ones come home at last.
And for everyone who has called for a ceasefire, this should be a relief – the long-awaited sign that this terrible war can finally end.
It is my sincere hope that the ceasefire in Gaza, which so far, is holding, will lead to a permanent peace that includes Israel removing its troops and Hamas laying down its arms. Most important is the release of the hostages.
Met with Narek Mkrtchyan, newly appointed Ambassador of Armenia to the United States, to discuss strengthening US-Armenia relations and growing cooperation in sectors like energy and tech. I look forward to working together during his tenure.
While Republicans refuse to return to Washington to address the health care crisis, House Democrats are holding a hearing today on the need to cancel the cuts, lower the cost and save your health care.
This is a crisis that we must address now.
He wants to cut disability benefits to recipients by ONE HUNDRED PERCENT. It's the latest edition in Trump's agenda to make life UNLIVABLE for working families.
Money that YOU EARNED after decades of hard work and paying into the system is about to be ripped away by Trump's latest plans for Social Security.
It’s DAY 8 of the REPUBLICAN RETREAT.
We’re now more than a WEEK into a government shutdown because Republicans would rather slink out of Washington instead of addressing the need to lower your health care costs.
It’s ironic that Trump, who’s a convicted felon, is calling for the governor of Illinois and mayor of Chicago to be JAILED for doing their jobs.
Let that sink in.
Trump is hijacking government websites to feed you lies about HIS SHUTDOWN. There’s no way to spin this: it’s illegal.
It's DAY SEVEN of the REPUBLICAN RETREAT.
The government has now been shut down for a WEEK because Republicans refuse to lower the price of your health care. They’re nowhere to be found in Washington.
We must commit to bringing the hostages home and remember those who were tragically lost. I will continue to support Israel as we seek a just peace.
Today marks the second anniversary of the brutal Hamas terrorist attacks on Israel on October 7th, 2023. On this day, over 1,200 innocent people, including 40 Americans, were murdered, and 240 were taken hostage. Horrifyingly, two years later, 48 hostages are still being held by terrorists in Gaza.
Chag Sukkot Sameach to all those celebrating in New Jersey. May your sukkah be full of peace, love, and gratitude!
I just joined a brief along with my Congressional colleagues urging the Third Circuit Court of Appeals to uphold the district court's ruling that Trump's appointment is unlawful, and to stop Alina Habba from wielding unchecked, unconstitutional power.
NEW: Alina Habba is still unconstitutionally holding the position of Acting US attorney of New Jersey—even after the New Jersey district court said her appointment was illegal. New Jersey has had enough.
The Trump Administration was promised right-wing editorial changes in exchange for approving the Skydance/Paramount merger.
This move is the direct result.
Paramount is once again bending the knee to satisfy their quid pro quo with Trump and it’s a dangerous step toward Trump’s state-backed media.
What does the Republican health care crisis look like?
Republicans are taking away health care from millions of Americans while RFK, Jr. spreads vaccine conspiracy theories.
The result: life-threatening disease outbreaks as millions can't afford health care.
The State Department needs to condemn Aliyev and take action to stop his collective punishment of human rights activists. Everyone deserves a government with respect for the rule of law—from America to Azerbaijan.
Aliyev is going after them on totally baseless charges in order to silence their work.
