The budget the Republicans are putting on the floor tonight will cut essential services that millions of American families rely on. All so they can pay for tax cuts for their billionaire buddies. I'm going to spend all night fighting back.
I voted NO on Kash Patel’s nomination to be FBI Director. He’s made it clear that he answers to President Trump, not the law. We can’t confirm someone to lead our top law enforcement agency who will put targeting the President’s so-called “enemies” ahead of protecting Americans.
Linda McMahon has no idea what public school teachers need to successfully teach their students. I'm standing with our students and teachers, and voting NO on McMahon for Secretary of Education.
The Great Lakes are in our DNA as Michiganders. I’m proud to lead bipartisan legislation to extend and expand the Great Lakes Restoration Initiative so we can keep preserving them for future generations.
Trump fired more than 1,000 VA workers. That means longer wait times for veterans trying to receive care. Our veterans have earned their benefits and we have a sacred obligation to take care of them when they come home. Trump's order flies in the face of that.
President Trump can't rewrite history. Ukraine didn't start this war. Putin invaded, and the Ukrainian people have spent the last three years valiantly defending their home. Trump is betraying our Western democratic allies by negotiating on behalf of Russia.
Hey! I'm Michigan's senior U.S. Senator Gary Peters. I love our Great Lakes, my motorcycle, and sticking up for working families. Follow along to see how I'm delivering for Michigan and fighting back against Trump’s dangerous agenda. Excited to be here! Let's ride 🏍️ 🏍️ 🏍️
