The President started this war flying by the seat of his pants. Now he’s threatening an outrageous, unconscionable escalation.
We need a clear exit strategy, not a President recklessly putting even more U.S. servicemembers and innocent lives in harm’s way.
Rooting for Coach May and the Wolverines tonight. Bring it home!
Colleen and I want to wish everyone a happy Easter! Hope folks have a great Sunday with family and friends.
Very exciting that Michigan’s own Christina Koch is part of this historic Artemis II space mission. I’m proud to watch American ingenuity at its peak as these brave astronauts journey to the moon for the first time in decades. www.freep.com/story/news/l...
Wishing a great Passover celebration to all Michiganders gathering around a Seder table tonight. Chag Sameach!
Our growing national debt is a problem that impacts every single one of us. We have to right the ship before it sinks.

Because of late Michigander Gerald Elliot’s story, veterans can no longer be denied VA burial benefits if they choose to receive hospice care outside of a VA facility. I’m proud to lead the fight to extend this commonsense law.

On Vietnam War Veterans Day, we recognize the brave men and women who served our country and sacrificed so much in the Vietnam War.
I will never stop working to ensure all veterans receive the care and benefits they earned in service.
It’s been one month since Trump put us at war with Iran. Since then, Michiganders have watched gas prices skyrocket. Yet still no clear goal or exit strategy coming from the Administration.
Without clearly explaining to Congress and the American people why we’re at war in the first place, the Trump Administration is putting our servicemembers into harm's way and sending more taxpayer money to a war with Iran. It’s simply unacceptable.
March Madness is made in Michigan! Since 2006, the courts have been designed in Amasa at Connor Sports. Hoping it sends Michigan and MSU good luck! www.uppermichiganssource.com/2026/03/05/a...
11 times Democrats have tried to open TSA, FEMA, CISA, and the Coast Guard.
Republicans blocked it every time.
We must fund these agencies while we negotiate commonsense reforms to ICE.
16 years ago, the Affordable Care Act became law. Despite Republicans' repeated attempts to weaken that historic bill, the ACA has literally saved millions of lives by helping Americans afford comprehensive health care.
Prior to Trump’s war with Iran, his Administration removed 1/3rd of America’s cybersecurity workforce. Iran’s cyber attacks, like the one in my home state, prove the importance of maintaining a strong cybersecurity workforce for our national security.
As the holy month of Ramadan comes to an end, I want to wish all Michiganders celebrating a wonderful Eid al-Fitr. May your day be filled with family, friends, and community. Eid Mubarak!
The Spartans and Wolverines are always ready for March.

Ranking Member @peters.senate.gov voted NO on advancing the nomination of Senator Mullin for DHS Secretary.
Not in this country.
Americans deserve to know the truth about the President’s war with Iran. Threatening broadcasters’ media licenses over news coverage that the Admin doesn’t like is a direct attack on free speech. www.nytimes.com/2026/03/14/w...
Happy St. Patrick’s Day, Michigan! ☘️
The reality of President Trump’s war with Iran is higher gas prices here at home. The American people did not ask for this war, and they need to hear clear answers from the President on how these operations will bring lasting peace and security.
