If anyone deserves a redress of grievances from a government that’s abused its power for political retaliation, it's:
E. Jean Caroll
James Comey
Tish James
John Brennan
Adam Schiff
Mark Kelly
Maggie Goodlander
Elissa Slotkin
Jason Crow
Chris Deluzio
Chrissy Houlahan
And many more. (2/3)

Trump’s DOJ is going after the woman who credibly—and successfully—sued him for sexual assault.
Let that sink in.
Accusing Joe Biden of “weaponizing” government, then creating a $1.8 billion “anti-weaponization fund” for Trump's cronies, might be the most Orwellian thing they've done. (1/3)
Between its dismantling of USAID and pulling us out of the World Health Organization (remember that?), this Administration is setting us up for disaster.
It’ll take decades to undo the damage they've done. But we will rebuild and recommit ourselves to ensuring America remains a true force for good.
Remember when Musk + DOGE took a wrecking ball to USAID?
Health experts and aid researchers estimate that between 600,000 and 760,000 people have died as a result of that cruel and reckless decision.
Now we’re seeing the Ebola virus spread at an alarming rate.
This is a *very* sobering interview.
The right loves to slap the word “socialism” on anything that helps working people.
Public schools. Health care. Basic services people rely on every day.
The government has a role to play in making sure the system actually works for working people, not just billionaires and corporations.
Let’s talk about the sheer insanity and corruption of this president.
He keeps using shootings to justify his $1 billion ballroom, while trying to use taxpayer dollars to pay off cop-assaulting insurrectionists who were tried and convicted by juries.
It’s staggering and completely disgusting.
It was an honor to celebrate her at the opening of the new Rachel Carson NWR Visitors Center in Kennebunk.
Huge thanks to Refuge Manger Karl Stromayer, the wonderful folks from the USFWS, and everyone who came to celebrate this special space—and the beauty that surrounds it.
Rachel would be proud.
On Rachel Carson’s birthday, it’s important to not only honor her extraordinary legacy, but to remember that many of the battles she was fighting are still being fought today—especially around chemicals in our environment.
Happy Birthday, Rachel. May your genius and vision continue to guide us.
For Muslims throughout the world, Eid is a sacred occasion—a time to be with friends and family and honor the importance of sacrifice and community.
Whether you’re celebrating here in Maine or somewhere else, whatever your traditions, I wish you peace, joy, and countless blessings.
Eid Mubarak!
Speaker Johnson has one job: let the House vote.
But last week, Republicans were about to lose a vote on Trump’s reckless war with Iran, so he shut down the House and sent us home early.
He can't avoid this forever.
ICE has already spent millions expanding its digital surveillance arsenal. Now it's training agents to extract data from some of the most common devices Americans use every day.
I have a hard time believing anyone would be comfortable with this gross violation of privacy.
I'm certainly not. (5/5)
It's why I introduced the Stop ICE Intimidation Act, which would:
✅ Block funding for expanded ICE surveillance programs and staffing until Congress gets answers
✅ Require ICE to disclose data-collection practices
✅ Establish that ICE surveillance may violate 1st and 4th Amendment rights. (4/5)
Here’s a disturbing story that’s flown under the radar: ICE just signed a contract with a company called Sumuri that will allow the agency to train agents to steal data from Americans’ phones and computers.
This is incredibly alarming. (3/5)
In this day and age, facts and accuracy are so important. So is accountability. I regret the error and any confusion it may have caused and will certainly be more cautious in the future.
NOW, to reshare the post with the correct information 👇(2/5)
🧵
Full transparency: I took down a post of mine from earlier today about a new ICE contract that named the wrong company.
Despite issuing a correction in the thread, I know everyone may not have seen it. (1/5)

No country experiences more mass shootings than the U.S. Instead of working with Democrats to find common-sense solutions that keep our communities safe, this Administration wants to take us backwards.
It’s truly unbelievable—and will only result in more trauma and tragedy for far too many people.
Just days after the thwarted mass shooting at the White House Correspondents Dinner, the Administration announced dozens of regulatory changes that will severely weaken federal oversight of the firearms industry.
I joined more than 90 of my colleagues in demanding answers from the Administration.
Thankfully, Congressional Republicans grew a spine and rejected his ridiculous ask for $1 billion to fund his vanity ballroom project in the reconciliation bill.
This president is completely out of touch.
