DeJoy did massive damage to the USPS. The mess he left has been exacerbated by ongoing consolidation efforts (and Trump’s attacks on mail-in voting.)
It’s critical that we protect the reliability + independence of the USPS. Not only as an essential public service, but as a pillar of our democracy.

Since January, my office has heard from 100+ constituents about delayed or inconsistent mail. Some have gone weeks without receiving a delivery.
This is unacceptable. People—especially seniors and small business owners—depend on the USPS for medications, Social Security checks, and so much more.
You know who’s LOVING today, though? Billionaires and big corporations, who are making out like bandits thanks to huge tax breaks in the Big Ugly Bill.
Republicans love to brag about being “the party of working people.”
Nothing could be further from the truth.
Tax Day isn't fun. But Republicans are making this year especially painful.
Remember when Trump promised people would save “$1K or more” on their taxes? Another empty promise.
Instead we've gotten:
⛽️ A historic spike in gas prices
🛒 Higher grocery costs
💵 Tariffs that've cost families >$1,700
Our bill wold allow Congress to hold hearings and gather evidence we might not get through the impeachment process.
We must take Trump's threats and clear mental decline seriously. The damage this man could do over the next three years is horrifying to imagine.
We simply can't take that risk.
Trump’s recent behavior leaves little doubt that he no longer has the fortitude and faculties necessary to serve as President.
@raskin.house.gov is leading a bill that would create a nonpartisan commission to assess Trump's fitness under the 25th Amendment.
I'm a proud cosponsor of this effort.
Trump and Republicans campaigned on lowering costs for everyday Americans. They’ve only made things worse—for family farmers, and for the millions of people who depend on them.
If we want to get out of this mess, common-sense legislation like the FFRA is a great place to start.
I’ve heard from many farmers who’ve been hurt by Trump’s tariffs.
Either they can’t afford new equipment, or they're struggling with huge increases in input costs (diesel, fertilizer, etc.)—and can’t make ends meet.
The FFRA would address this crisis. Republicans refuse to bring it to the floor.
Just because she was fired doesn’t let her off the hook. She’s still required to comply with the subpoena.
The American people deserve the truth, and the victims deserve justice—not more coverups and corruption from people who only care about protecting the president from accountability.
Pam Bondi was scheduled to appear before the House Oversight Committee to answer questions about her role in the Epstein files fiasco.
She didn’t show up.
Republicans are letting it slide, saying any outrage is “purely performative.”
BULLSHIT.
Those contempt charges can’t come fast enough.
How Congress responds now will determine whether every person who works in this institution feels safe reporting misconduct without fear of retaliation.
Perpetrators of sexual assault and harassment must be held accountable. No title, no office, and no political affiliation changes that. (3/3)
Serving in Congress is a privilege that comes with tremendous responsibility. These men exploited that privilege to abuse the people who trusted and worked for them.
The women who came forward are courageous. They deserve to be heard, and they deserve justice. (2/3)
🧵
Multiple credible accusations of sexual assault and harassment against Reps. Swalwell and Gonzales demand swift, serious accountability.
They should both resign immediately. If they do not, they should be expelled from Congress. (1/3)
A man who embraces war, glorifies cruelty, and threatens mass civilian suffering is attacking the leader of 1.4 billion Catholics and posting AI slop of himself as a Christ-like figure "healing" America.
I can't imagine anyone conducting himself in a manner more hostile to the teachings of Jesus.
Trump is attacking Pope Leo for saying the obvious: War with Iran was a choice, innocent people are suffering, and threatening an entire civilization is morally indefensible.
He's been clear that leaders should be working for peace, not death and destruction.
Trump’s response? This insane rant.
You do not have to agree on everything to work together on something this important.
Healthy food, clean water, freedom from toxic chemicals, and real accountability for corporations should unite all of us.

America is unaffordable.
It’s because of Donald Trump.
It’s incredibly exciting to see the people of Hungary retake their country and overwhelmingly reject Orbán’s authoritarian rule.
America is taking notes! 👏
Dismantling + controlling public media.
Enriching himself + his oligarch friends while the working class struggled.
Manipulating elections and installing judges of his choice.
Destroying the economy.
Sound familiar?
As Steve Bannon says, Orbán was Trump before Trump.
I was fortunate to be in Hungary in the late 90s and saw how their new democracy was flourishing.
Over the course of past 16 years, Viktor Orbán has hollowed out Hungary’s newfound democracy piece by piece.
