From MA to MN & across the country, Trump’s anti-immigrant crusade is child abuse, neglect, & inflicting childhood trauma. In Trump’s America, childhood is being treated as a privilege instead of a right. We cannot allow kids to become collateral damage for cruel & morally bankrupt policies.
It was great to drop by More Than Words & hear from their young leaders on just how much this organization has changed their lives. They're a community space, an economic engine, & an essential resource to empower & support our youth. And this Congresswoman is grateful for them!

This Women's History Month, I'm honoring: —Women whose labor go unrecognized. —Women unjustly detained or incarcerated, separated from their babies. —Women mourning their loved ones due to endless wars & genocide. The daughters, mamas, & grandmas who keep us whole. Their livelihoods matter.
Our immigrant entrepreneurs & small business owners are indispensable. The impact they have on our communities & economies reverberates far beyond the walls of their businesses. I will continue to defend their livelihoods against the blatant harm of this hostile White House.
The Trump Administration's oil blockade on Cuba is cruel & irresponsible. It's exacerbating an energy crisis, enforcing hospitals to go dark, & denying families food. The Admin must reverse course immediately & end the blockade. Solidarity with the people Cuba.
Black veterans fought for freedom abroad while fighting for dignity & justice here. And their service is not a footnote in our nation’s story. Proud to present a congressional citation to honor The Concerned Black Men of Massachusetts for their work.

Donald Trump does not care about civilians in the region or the safety of US Troops. He’s illegally bypassing Congress and starting a war with Iran that has already killed dozens of children. This is unacceptable. Congress must take action to rein in Trump and save lives.
I’m proud to introduce the Greater Supervision in Banking Act to support the interests of investors & hold big banks accountable. My GSIB Act would require big banks to disclose diversity metrics, compensation policies, & climate costs and be transparent with their investors.
Black history is American history—my resolution honors & celebrates museums keeping our shared history alive. We refuse to yield to whitewashing of our Black ancestors' labor & joy. Instead, we support & defend the institutions who do the essential truth-telling of our stories.
Our Black, Latino, & women-owned businesses are pillars of our communities. But they are too often targeted for disinvestment with no meaningful opportunities to build wealth. My SPARK Act with @markey.senate.gov will give them the resources needed to build wealth & grow.
Our children are being traumatized by this Administration, they’re stealing childhoods. Whether you’re talking about hungry children being denied food assistance, medical negligence of cutting Medicaid, or the rogue actions of ICE. That’s why I boycotted #SOTU.
Without Black history, America has none. This #BlackHistoryMonth, my @baystatebanner.bsky.social op-ed affirms that we're pushing back against attacks on DEI, book bans, & Black history itself. We won't let Trump censor our history, ignore our oppression, or attack our freedoms.

This #NationalReparationsAwarenessDay, I'm thinking of every reparations partner planting seeds so that we can all thrive. Who are proving that reparations is possible as long as we organize, strategize & fight for it. Because justice delayed is justice denied & our communities can wait no longer.
As someone living with Alopecia, I know what it is to endure a vulnerable transformation not of my choosing. For many impacted by medical hair loss, unaffordable wigs deepen this hardship. Our WIGS bill will expand coverage for wigs, relieving financial barriers & inaccessibility.
Losing your hair to illness is traumatic & patients should be able to wear a wig without breaking the bank. Last week, @pressley.house.gov, @blumenthal.senate.gov, & I reintroduced the WIGS bill, which requires Medicare to cover medically necessary wigs, making this treatment accessible for all.
I have no regard for a man who rips parents away from children, deports families, & imprisons our babies. That's why I'm boycotting today's #SOTU & instead shedding light on the stories of our children terrorized by ICE. Because our children deserve a childhood free from fear.

Two letters submitted by kids detained at the Dilley Family Detention Center.
The State of our Union is traumatizing our children. And that is because of the violent rhetoric & policies enacted by the Occupant of the Oval Office. That’s why I’m boycotting #SOTU tonight & my honorary guests are children who’ve been directly harmed & impacted by ICE.
