During Black August we honor Black freedom fighters & continue their work for our collective liberation. That includes defending Diversity, Equity & Inclusion to ensure opportunities for all of us. And it means advancing an affirmative vision for a more just America where everyone can thrive.
Hey family! My team is hiring a Staff Assistant for our district office in Boston. If you're passionate about serving the #MA7 and supporting our impactful constituent services work, apply today! pressley.house.gov/job-posting-...
60 years ago, Medicaid & Medicare were signed into law, allowing folks in the #MA7 & nationwide to access high-quality, affordable healthcare. With Republicans making the largest cuts to healthcare in our history, I'll keep fighting to protect & expand these lifesaving programs.

The Trump Administration is making it easier for polluters to pollute our communities and destroy our planet.   This is dangerous and shameful.   They are literally putting the profits of big corporations over the health and wellbeing of our people and our planet.
Breaking News: The EPA is planning to revoke the scientific determination that underpins the government’s legal authority to combat climate change. The agency’s administrator said the move would be “the largest deregulatory action in the history of America.”
With Republicans banning books nationwide, I'm grateful for local bookstores preserving underrepresented voices in literature. The freedom to pursue boundless knowledge must remain just that: a freedom. Thank you to @allshewrotebks.bsky.social in Somerville for letting me drop by.

Rep. Pressley, wearing a black dress, smiles as she checks out a book. A woman’s hand reaches out for her book across the check out counter. Behind them is the bookstore, filled with colorful art and books.
Fare free transit is an economic, racial, & climate justice issue, and it's high time we invest in public transit as the public good that it is. I'm reintroducing the Freedom to Move Act with @markey.senate.gov to close transit equity gaps and make our communities more connected.
Thank you @lynch.house.gov & @moulton.house.gov for leading this letter with me and our colleagues Congressman Richard Neal, @keating.house.gov, @whipkclark.bsky.social, @repmcgovern.bsky.social, @trahan.house.gov, & @repauchincloss.bsky.social for your partnership.
The members of Teamsters Local 25 deserve a contract that reflects the dignity of their work. I’m leading my MA Congressional House colleagues in urging Republic Services to return to the bargaining table in good faith and negotiate a contract with fair pay, quality benefits, and a safe workplace.
For too long, our institutions have been more concerned with protecting predators than centering survivors. That has to change. For me and for all survivors, releasing the Epstein files is deeply personal. www.boston.com/news/local-n...
We should be making it easier for folks impacted by natural disasters to restore their homes and move forward with rebuilding their lives. Our Fix Our Flooded Basements Act with @reprashida.govpeeps.us a fills a critical gap in disaster recovery resources to do exactly that.
The Urban Farming Institute in Mattapan is doing incredible work promoting access to healthy foods & standing in the gap to support vulnerable residents. It was a joy to join them in community last week for live music, to shop local produce, & to learn more about their efforts.

Newborns denied formula. Children denied food. Entire families murdered with weapons of war. This genocide must end. Israel must end the blockade immediately. We cannot and will not look away.
More than 100 aid agencies and rights groups, including Save the Children and Doctors Without Borders, warned on Wednesday that mass starvation was spreading across Gaza, adding to calls for Israel to lift restrictions on humanitarian aid to the besieged enclave. nyti.ms/46TKTRO

🚨After unlawfully withholding billions in education funding for schools, the Trump Admin. has reversed course. This is a massive victory for students, educators, & families who depend on these essential resources. And it's a testament to public pressure & relentless organizing.
Breaking news: The Trump administration plans to release more than $5 billion in funding to public schools after withholding it for nearly a month.
Thank you to our friend Congresswoman @pressley.house.gov for meeting with AFT MA and BTU during @aftunion’s Lobby Day in DC! It’s always a good day when we get to sit down with Congresswoman Pressley and plan some good trouble on behalf of educators and our union siblings.
