Today, our Co-Chairs - alongside RFC members @JanSchakowsky & @MaxwellFrostFL, w/Senate leaders @SenDuckworth, @PattyMurray, & @MazieHirono - reintroduced the #EACHAct. We stand with 170+ @HouseDemocrats & 30+ Senators to #EndHydeNow, ensuring everyone can choose their own health & future.
Today we introduced the EACH Act to end the Hyde Amendment that denies families across the country coverage for abortion care. Grateful for the partnership of @degette.house.gov, @schakowsky.house.gov, @frost.house.gov, @duckworth.senate.gov, @murray.senate.gov @hirono.senate.gov & Rep. Barbara Lee.
I look forward to remaining in contact with Mahmoud as we continue work to center the humanity of families in Gaza, address the unjust and unlawful targeting of students exercising their right to free speech, and protect the fundamental, constitutional rights of everyone who calls this country home.
Mahmoud Khalil is a kind, gentle soul who cares deeply about others' humanity, and his abduction, detention, and ongoing persecution by the Trump Admin is egregious. I am deeply relieved that he has been reunited with his wife and his infant son. Our meeting today was fortifying and productive.

The #MA7 is leading the way in space exploration, astrophysics, & AI research. Last week, @foushee.house.gov & I toured Cambridge Discovery Park, where the Center for Astrophysics is pushing the frontiers of knowledge in astronomy & astrophysics & bringing unparalleled innovation to Massachusetts.

In just 6 months of Trump's occupancy, he has fired tens of thousands of civil servants from our federal agencies. We all depend on the essential services they provide, and they deserve better. We won't stop fighting to support our federal workers & their critical work. www.cnn.com/politics/tra...
It’s past time that we regulate these hazardous products & affirm our right to safer alternatives. I’m proud to co-lead the Cosmetic Safety Protections for Communities of Color & Salon Workers Act w/ @schakowsky.house.gov & partner with advocates on the Safer Beauty Bill Package to do exactly that.
For decades, the beauty products marketed to Black women & girls have contained toxic, unregulated chemicals – leaving us to disproportionately suffer from increased incidences of cancer, respiratory issues, & adverse reproductive outcomes. This isn’t a coincidence–this is exploitation.
Federal lawmakers introduce four bills aimed at banning or regulating dangerous chemicals in hair and beauty products largely marketed toward Black women.
This week, Trump ended the 988 hotline service that has helped many of our LGBTQ+ neighbors during moments of crisis. This is cruel, it is dangerous, and it could be deadly. To our LGBTQ+ siblings: we see you, we love you, & there are resources available to you.

Trump’s Big Ugly Bill will kick 17 million people off of health care & decimate the food budgets of regular, working people. Today I joined with @pressley.house.gov, @projectbread.org & other leaders to hear stories from people whose lives will be made more difficult by these awful Trump cuts.
No one in Massachusetts—no child, student, parent, or senior—should go hungry. I held a timely listening session with @repmcgovern.bsky.social & @projectbread.org to hear from families directly impacted by Republicans' cruel cuts to food assistance and how we can support them going forward.

—Protecting & expanding reproductive healthcare —Building an inclusive care economy —Ending gender-based violence —Making gender equality the law of the land —& more Proud to work alongside my colleagues as we push back against this Administration’s attacks on women & girls.
With Trump & Republicans’ leading a full-scale assault on our fundamental rights, this moment demands a better future for women everywhere. Our @demwomencaucus.bsky.social policy agenda lays out how we'll continue to support & defend women & families by:
Breonna Taylor should be alive today. She was shot and killed while sleeping when officers fired into her home. By seeking a one-day sentence for her murder, Trump's DOJ is sending a cruel and disrespectful message: that they don't value her life or that of her loved ones.
Breaking News: The Justice Department is asking for a one-day sentence for a former officer convicted in the killing of Breonna Taylor.
I joined @repsummerlee.bsky.social to launch the Community Safety Agenda – including our People’s Response Act – to help save lives by centering de-escalation, mental health interventions, and a public health approach to public safety.
A graphic that reads:

The People's Response Act

- Advances an inclusive, holistic, and health-centered approach to public safety by creating a public safety division within HHS.
- Launches a federal first responders unit to support states and local governments with emergency health crises.
- Promotes alternative approaches to public safety to center health-based and non-carceral responses throughout the federal government.
A graphic that reads:

The Mental Health Justice Act

- Creates a grant program that allows states, tribes, and localities to hire, train, and dispatch mental health professionals to respond to mental health emergencies.
- Empowers the Civil Rights Division at DOJ and the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration at HHS to provide technical assistance to grant recipients.
- Establishes best practices for mental health professionals responding to mental health emergencies.
Republicans' CLARITY Act green lights crypto schemes, emboldens Trump’s crypto corruption, & lacks critical consumer protections. The American people deserve crypto legislation that is fair, transparent, & accountable. The CALAMITY* Act fails that test.
"The Community Safety Agenda is born out of a movement. A movement that has long pushed our nation to center the dignity and humanity of all people—that is unrelenting, unwavering, and unafraid in our pursuit to challenge racist, ablest systems of oppression and inequity." @pressley.house.gov
