Because of Trump's Big Ugly Bill, over 2,010 Americans in my district were kicked off SNAP.
We need to reverse these cuts and make sure everyone has the food assistance they need. #SaveOurSnap
It’s Constitution Day! On September 17, we honor our country’s founding document. We must continue to fight for the rights and freedoms we hold dear🇺🇸

Trump knows the Republican Party is going to get their ass kicked in the midterms. That’s why he’s pushing these voter suppression measures like the SAVE Act.
We’re not going to let him take away your right to vote.
Happy Hispanic Heritage Month! From September 15 through October 15, we celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month to honor the many traditions, achievements, and cultures that have contributed to our country.
This month and every month, let's celebrate the diversity that truly makes America great.
We are now six months into the Iran War, and President Trump and Pete Hegseth are still pouring billions of taxpayer dollars into this failed operation.
Congress needs to take action. I’m cosponsoring Rep. Ryan’s No Funds for Iran War Act to turn off the faucet for good.
I will always stand with the people of Ukraine and their fight for freedom.
See my statement on the Russia Sanctions bill and the effort to end Putin’s war here.

I’m cosponsoring @repfletcher.bsky.social's Freeze ICE Act to institute a hiring freeze—until the madness ends and we have qualified immigration enforcement.
I always appreciate meeting with my senior constituents. From working to solve food insecurity to Social Security reform, I'll always show up to support Chicagoans.
Thank you CHA seniors for having me last week!

At a time when so many are telling us what we can and can’t learn, it’s paramount we support our public libraries—continue to read “banned” books!
I recently got to visit the Japanese American Service Committee’s headquarters in Chicago. As a long-standing nonprofit in our district, JASC offers Japanese cultural and educational programs for all ages🇯🇵🇺🇸
The rate of death for women with ectopic pregnancies nearly doubled between 2016 & 2025. And it’s even worse for women in red states.
I’m cosponsoring the Women’s Health Protection Act to effectively reverse the end of Roe & make sure every woman has access to the healthcare they need.
Yesterday, I joined the Chicago Fire Department in their tribute to the victims of the September 11th attacks.
