This Independence Day, we celebrate more than our 250th Birthday, we celebrate the enduring promise of American democracy. Since 1776, generations of Americans have worked to build a more perfect union by expanding freedom, defending the Constitution, and protecting our democracy.

Extreme heat can become dangerous quickly. Here’s a few ways to stay cool during this extreme heat season:
💧Drink plenty of water.
☀️ Wear lightweight clothing and take breaks in the shade or air conditioning.

🚗 Never leave a child or pet in a parked car—not even for a minute.
Instead of helping families make ends meet or see a doctor, Republicans prioritized huge tax breaks for the wealthiest Americans. Congress should be focused on lowering costs, protecting health care, and creating job opportunities for working families.
Republicans are celebrating their so-called “One Big Beautiful Bill” also known as the “Big Ugly Law” as millions of Americans continue to lose access to health care and food assistance because of it.
This decision brings relief to millions, especially children of mixed-status families, who can breathe easier knowing the Constitution's promise remains intact. Today is a victory for democracy and for the fundamental principle that if you are born in the United States, you are an American.
Today, the #SCOTUS reaffirmed what the 14th Amendment has guaranteed for more than 150 years: every person born in the U.S. is a U.S. citizen. President Trump tried to end Birthright Citizenship and failed!
This decision will have devastating consequences for families who have followed the law, contributed to our economy, and have called America home for years. Congress must act to provide lasting protections.
The Supreme Court's decision to allow the termination of Temporary Protected Status (TPS) for Haitians and Syrians who have fled violence, natural disasters, and humanitarian crises to seek safety is contrary to our American values.
