The Water Resources Development Act (WRDA) overwhelmingly passed the House and we're working to pass it in the Senate.
Reauthorizing WRDA opens the floodgates to authorize all sorts of water-related projects vital for improving and protecting infrastructure in New York and beyond.
Thank you, Damar Hamlin.
Thank you to the Buffalo Bills.
Thank you to the NFL.
Thank you to all the student athletes and great champions in Buffalo and everywhere who pushed for this bill.
I am proud to have worked with you all to pass the 🫶 HEARTS Act. 🫶
After he suffered from cardiac arrest during a game—Damar Hamlin didn’t just sit around.
He came and told me he wanted to make history and ensure more kids in schools have access to the same AEDs that saved his life.
I’m proud to have worked with him to pass the 🫶 HEARTS Act 🫶
In America, there’s a basic promise that if you work hard all your life, play by the rules and contribute year after year, then you deserve a secure retirement!
That’s why I am doing everything I can to pass the Social Security Fairness Act.
And the Senate GOP needs to join us.
Today, I'll meet with the President-elect’s nominee for Commerce Secretary—Howard Lutnick of NY.
It’s vital the next Commerce Secretary is willing to build on progress from the last few years and ensure the US out-competes the Chinese Communist Party on AI, semiconductors, and more.
BREAKING: Republican leadership is blocking my push to pass #SAFERBANKING in our government funding bill.
It is long past time for #SAFERBANKING, we need to raise our voices now if we want to get this done.

Today is a good day. 🫶
Because of the HEARTS Act that Damar Hamlin and I fought for side-by-side, more lives will be saved.
More families will be whole.
More communities will be prepared.
It's on its way to the president's desk!
Damar Hamlin’s story is a powerful reminder that in a cardiac emergency every minute counts.
He turned his story into a mission to help save lives.
I want to thank Damar for his courage, partnership, dedication.
The 🫶 HEARTS Act 🫶 is on its way to the president's desk.
🫶 I have incredible news. 🫶
Today, the HEARTS Act has passed the Senate to make sure that schools have AEDs and the ability to teach CPR.
I’m honored to have fought for it alongside the Buffalo Bills’ Damar Hamlin.
It's on its way to the president's desk!
The benefits of Micron’s CHIPS award go beyond NY.
The award's fueling expansion of Micron in ID.
And the U.S. Department of Commerce has struck another deal with Micron to expand in VA.
The latest flurry of good news showing CHIP manufacturing's expanding nationwide with our CHIPS & Science Act.
In 2024—at least 24 major disasters have battered communities across the US.
We must get them aid—Senate Democrats have been working to reach an agreement across the aisle.
This isn’t a Blue or Red issue.
The only way we’ll get a disaster package is with serious bipartisan cooperation.
This bill is bipartisan and passed the House. Senate Republicans should not get in the way.
It would ensure reporters can’t be legally required to disclose sources or research files or hand over data held by phone and internet companies.
This bill would protect journalists against overreaching government surveillance.
Tonight, I will attempt to pass the PRESS Act in the Senate.
CONFIRMED: Keli Neary to be United States District Judge for the Middle District of Pennsylvania!
And we will keep working to confirm more of President Biden's well-qualified judges.
As the Senate does a thorough review of all Pres-elect's nominees—I met with his Sec of State nominee: Sen Rubio
We had a good discussion on our foreign policy priorities inc. Ukraine, Middle East, Haiti, China
And I expressed my concern with Pres-elect wavering on our commitment to our partners
For over a year, I’ve worked with Senators of both parties to find a way forward on bipartisan AI legislation.
But Senate Republicans have chosen to walk away.
If we want America to lead the world in innovation—we can’t turn a blind eye to AI.
I won't walk away from AI talks.
I took the next steps last night to move forward on the nominations of Lauren McFerran and Joshua Ditelberg to the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB).
If you truly care about working families, then you should be in favor of advancing these NLRB nominees.
Micron’s CHIPS award is more than just a once-in-a-generation investment in Upstate NY:
It’s an investment that'll span multiple generations, create over 50K jobs, spur historic amounts of private investment.
It's critical for national security, AI, smart phones, cars, and more.
