Ranking Members @bobbyscott.house.gov and @repilhan.bsky.social are demanding answers from Trump’s DOL after concerning reports that vital documents on worker safety are being destroyed.
The Trump Administration is putting workers' lives at risk. It must stop.

Every single Republican on the Budget Committee just voted against my amendment to prevent children from going hungry at school and to protect Pell Grants for students.

Where does the accumulated debt of this country come from? It comes from Republican Presidents going back to Ronald Reagan. 3/4 of the accumulated debt of this country is due to Republican Presidents who didn't pay for their spending—so much for Republican's being the party of fiscal responsibility.

President Trump illegally fired NLRB Member Wilcox at the behest of Elon Musk, whose companies are currently under investigation.
Ranking Members @bobbyscott.house.gov, @raskin.house.gov, and @connolly.house.gov are calling for her immediate reinstatement and accountability for her termination.
The Republican budget proposal undermines the middle class by cutting education, health care, food assistance and other essential programs that help millions of American families to fund tax cuts for corporations and the ultra-wealthy.

I am joining my colleagues on @housebudgetdems.bsky.social to fight the House GOP's budget.
The GOP's budget plan gives tax cuts to corporations and the ultra-wealthy. And they pay for it by gutting education, health care and lifelines that help working families put food on the table.

Education is a right which must be made available to all on equal terms.
By dismantling the Department of Education, Republicans are working to ensure that doesn’t happen.
Democrats are fighting as hard as we can to stop them.
The Dept of Ed is *not* a con job.
The Dept of Ed:
✔️provides critical funding for low-income and rural schools,
✔️supports students with disabilities, and
✔️protects students facing discrimination.
Dismantling the Department of Education will create more chaos and hurt our most vulnerable students.

With full control of Congress, and while silent on Trump's plan to dismantle the Department of Education:
Today, Committee Republicans plan to force through a set of bills that ignore parents' concerns, burden teachers, and fail to support students.

Donald Trump and Elon Musk want to demoralize civil servants and destroy the federal workforce.
Civil servants ensure our safety, care for our veterans, support our military, and keep kids from going hungry.
They are not going to win.
Had a great time this afternoon at the Newport News Sister Cities Chinese Lunar New Year Celebration
Speaker Johnson and House Republicans need more time to round up votes to cut Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, education, housing, food assistance and health care.
