The scope of loss suffered by the #Palisades community is overwhelming. Block after block of lost homes, and for each, a family struggling to rebuild their lives.

The aircraft were transferred to the 146th Airlift Wing, equipped with the Modular Airborne Firefighting System, which allows the aircraft to be used as an air tanker that can drop either water or fire retardant. 2/2
The California National Guard is presently using the C -130 aircraft, also known as the Super Scooper, in fighting the #PalisadesFire. I led the successful effort to obtain four new C-130 aircraft for the California Air National Guard two decades ago. 1/2
