Earlier this month, I introduced the Expanding Service Coordinators Act with @repbeatty.bsky.social and @repbonamici.bsky.social.

The president is using the U.S. military to pick people up off the streets without due process, and it's a threat to the basic freedoms that we as members of a democracy face.
Please join my office on Wednesday, September 10 at 12 p.m. for a Census Data Tools for Grant Writing and Fundraising. Webinar. We'll hear from presenters from the U.S. Census Bureau to learn how to best use their resources. To RSVP, visit events.gcc.teams.microsoft.com/event/96f847...
My statement condemning the rise in anti-semitism.
Crime is absolutely a problem, but the president choosing to attack cities run by Democrats comes off as partisan instead of trying to make our communities safer.
It’s back to school season in King County, and I wish all the students, teachers, faculty, and families luck as they begin this school year. Welcome back.
We're headed into a big government funding fight and we need some assurances that President Trump will recognize that what Congress is doing matters.
Happy Labor Day! Thankful to all of the working-class folks who make our community stronger each day.
I met with @seattlechildrens.org in Federal Way to discuss their plans for expanding services and reaching more families in the South Sound region.
The U.S. must leverage arms sales to push Israel to reach a Gaza ceasefire, surge humanitarian aid and stop settlement expansion in the West Bank. Thankful for the opportunity to be on Pod Save America to discuss.
This morning, I held a Town Hall with local school district and education leaders in Renton to discuss policy concerns and issues they are facing in King County. Thanks to Puget Sound Educational Service District for hosting and for everyone who joined.
Later, I visited their Climate Risk Lab at the Foster School of Business to see how they are working with students and businesses to determine financial risks posed by extreme heat and global warming.
Today, I visited UW to see the great work their students and faculty are doing. We started at their Advanced Composites Center where they are pioneering cost-effective, environmentally-friendly composite manufacturing methods.
The treatment of these firefighters is deeply troubling and reflects the disastrous immigration policy put in place by the Trump administration.
These firefighters have been working tirelessly to combat the largest active blaze in our state, selflessly risking their lives to protect communities across Washington.
Two members of a firefighting crew were arrested by U.S. Border Patrol while actively working to contain a dangerous wildfire in the Olympic Peninsula. Federal officers demanded identification and instructed other crew members not to report the incident.
I signed onto two letters urging the Trump Administration to surge infant formula into Gaza and reverse the cruel pause on temporary medical-humanitarian visas for children from Gaza. We must take action to stop the humanitarian crisis.
We need to build more affordable housing to create attainable alternatives to our sky-high housing market and support working-class Washingtonians.
Renters in King County need to make almost $92,000 a year to afford just a one-bedroom apartment. This is pushing homeownership further out of reach and making our city less accessible to live and work in.
I'm thinking of all those affected and extending prayers to them at this time.
