The Senate just passed a Big Ugly Bill that takes over $1,000,000,000,000 away from seniors, people with disabilities, and low-income families. This legislation betrays the working class.
In Washington State alone, over 328,000 people are projected to lose health care coverage, including access to Apple Health, if the Big Ugly Bill becomes law. I am a strong NO on this legislation, and I urge my Republican colleagues to vote the same.
After the Senate passed the Big Ugly Bill, I wanted to remind folks that this reconciliation plan gives a $4.6 trillion tax handout to the wealthiest in exchange for the gutting of Medicaid, SNAP, and other essential programs.

Though under attack by this administration, I am committed to supporting Medicare for All and recognizing what this program has done to benefit this country.
On July 1, 1966, Medicare began in the United States, extending health coverage to almost all Americans over 65. Since then, millions of people have access care under these basic needs program.
