Firing an education oversight official who refuses to give in to the Department’s pressure is Trump’s Dept. of Education’s latest intimidation tactic. We must end the brazen politicization of a bipartisan and independent committee.
It was a pleasure hosting Californians at the nation’s capitol and addressing their thoughts and concerns. If you are visiting DC, be sure to check on dates for our constituent breakfasts — it would be great to see you.⁩

Today's Supreme Court decision essentially guts the last remaining tool of the Voting Rights Act used to prevent racial gerrymanders. Republicans across the country can now redraw congressional maps to even further disenfranchise communities of color. Yet another partisan and destructive decision.
As King Charles visits the U.S., it’s worth reflecting on the status of one of our most important alliances. We have ignored and assailed the British to the point where we are at war with Iran, and without a friend to be found.
I'm fighting to build an economy that works for everyone, with housing people can afford and good safe neighborhoods. Glad to have partners like Rise Economy who are doing such important work.
It was great to meet with the National Conference Delegates from California 4-H! During their visit to the Capitol, we discussed the current state of California's agriculture industry and the upcoming 2026 Farm Bill.

Today, Armenian communities around the world commemorate 111 years since the systematic murder and displacement of 1.5 million Armenian women, men, and children by the Ottoman Empire from 1915 to 1923.
