Earlier this week, San Luis Obispo County supervisors stopped by the Captiol to talk about how we can continue working together to protect and preserve SLO's coastline.
Hope to be back in SLO soon!

Our parks are at the heart of our communities. Proud to work with Rep. Raul Ruiz to help secure federal investments for a new park in Imperial, and looking forward to seeing it finished! 🌳

It was wonderful to welcome students from Santa Maria High School to the Capitol this week.
They had some great questions and even taught me a TikTok dance. Thanks for stopping by — Go Saints!
The prolonged refusal to commemorate the bravery of our Capitol Police on January 6th was nothing short of shameful.
We must continue fighting attempts to erase or rewrite the history of that dark day.
Another tragic example of how Trump’s indiscriminate immigration raids are targeting the most vulnerable among us, including the family of a deaf child seeking asylum.
The cruelty is astounding.
Will do all I can to try to reverse this. www.latimes.com/california/s...
Proud to have helped deliver more than $18 million in federal investments for CA transportation upgrades ahead of the World Cup.
All eyes will be on Los Angeles and the SF Bay Area this summer, and I'm glad this critical funding will go toward ensuring a successful tournament.
Pam Bondi has continued to block the full release of the Epstein files.
Republicans and Democrats both recognize that. And subpoenaing Bondi is the first step to accountability.
But a hearing is one thing — getting real answers is another.
The Trump admin’s $600 million termination of public health grants will be devastating for California.
@pelosi.house.gov and I visited the SF LGBT Center to learn more about how these politically-motivated cuts threaten our health system, and especially efforts to stop the spread of disease.
Too often bad actors prey on vulnerable seniors with Social Security and Medicare-related scams.
Take a look at these resources to #SlamTheScam and protect yourself and the seniors in your life.

Donald Trump stacked the commission in charge of approving his golden ballroom with loyalists.
Yet even they can't deny that a majority of Americans oppose the project.
Destroying the White House East Wing to feed Trump's ego will be a stain on our history. www.cnn.com/2026/03/05/p...
Why are we at war with Iran?
How long will this war last?
Neither Trump nor any of his top officials can get their stories straight.
But no matter what, this war is costing American lives and taxpayer dollars. youtu.be/9OLkRWqod5k?...
Two days ago, Sen. Kennedy and I pressed Kristi Noem under oath whether the President approved her $220 million PR contract with the spouse of her former flack.
She told our committee that Trump signed off.
Today, Trump fired her.
Another tragic, and completely foreseeable, cost of this war.
First, Freedom 250, an entity run by Trump's allies, offers access to the president in exchange for donations for America's 250th anniversary events.
Then, the admin allocates $100M in taxpayer funds to it while reportedly raising money from foreign sources.
We need answers about this scheme.
Every child deserves a great start in life and I'm proud to have worked with @padilla.senate.gov to secure over $1.9 million in federal funding for Guadalupe Union School District’s Early Learning Center.
I was delighted to visit and see firsthand the impact of these investments.
My thoughts are with the family and loved ones of Chief Warrant Officer Robert Marzan, and all of Sacramento, who are mourning the loss of one of their own.
And I pray for every servicemember in harm's way. May God protect our troops.
If the Senate continues to forsake Congress's war powers and its responsibility, there will be soon no constraint left on this president or any other to make war whenever they choose, wherever they choose.
And the American people and our sons and daughters will pay the price in blood and treasure.
The Trump Administration is trying to strip veterans of their reproductive freedoms by banning the VA from providing abortion counseling and care.
I'm pushing the administration to respect their service and reverse course on this draconian attack on our veterans' health and freedom.
