The Violence Against Women Act officially became law 32 years ago today, helping ensure survivors of domestic and sexual violence have the resources needed to protect themselves and recover from abuse. This fight isn't over. I remain committed to supporting all survivors.
Our nation is stronger when we recognize that what unites us is greater than what divides us. On the 25th anniversary of 9/11, we honor those we lost. We commend the valor of our first responders. And we show the world that through it all, the United States of America endured.
On September 11, terrorists attacked our nation, an unspeakable tragedy that resulted in the loss of nearly 3,000 American lives. 25 years later, join me in remembering all those lost and honoring our brave first responders who risked their lives to save countless others.
During Suicide Prevention Month, I urge all Americans to raise awareness about the resources and mental health support groups available across the country. You are never alone. For those struggling, you can call or text 988 or 833-710-6477 anytime for a NH local response.
