Make no mistake—this is a federal land grab—straight out of Project 2025. As they say…follow the 💰💵 Because—who will *actually* benefit from giving public lands to private developers? 🤔 …I can tell you it’s not the working families they’re trying to take housing programs away from.
NM-01: We are taking our town halls on the road! Join us in Santa Rosa and Carizozzo, and if you can’t make it in person, we’re also holding a virtual town hall via Zoom! Plus, keep an eye on my socials for even more opportunities to meet with me this week! Join us, we’d love to see you!
Across America—families are struggling. They are asking us to take a stand and fight back. They didn’t vote for the reckless & lawless firing of thousands of veterans and military personnel—they want lower costs, a roof over their heads, and food on the table. That is what we are fighting for!
Calling all high school students in NM-01! The 2025 Congressional Art Competition is now live! Submit your art for the chance to have your work hung in the Capitol in D.C. for a whole year! The deadline to apply is Friday, April 18. For more info, visit —> stansbury.house.gov/services/art...
Today, I had a combat veteran who served as an Air Force liaison with the Joint Chiefs of Staff during the Reagan Administration stop me after grocery shopping. “This indeed is not normal,” he said. We must keep speaking up and speaking out.
Officially home, sweet home! It’s been a long week. But, I’m grateful to be home and to have the next week working and traveling the District to hear from all of you. We’ll be in Santa Rosa, the East Mountains, Carrizozo, and of course here in Albuquerque—so come out and see us!
A fierce advocate and a kind and giving mentor—we will remember him always for the fights he took on, his laughter, and his care for everyone around him. Sending love to his family, the people of Tucson, and the many generations he mentored. Rest in peace dear friend, we will miss you. 💔
The polling is in and Americans do NOT support what Musk and Trump are doing. But is it any surprise? Firing veterans and teachers, hacking personal data, trying to shut down Medicaid, tanking the economy, and holding car shows on the South Lawn. This is not normal. We must keep fighting back.
Trying to erase history, firing educators, and dismantling the Department of Education — does any of this seem normal? We stand with the Dept. of Ed and all of the educators out there who are impacted, feeling the weight of this moment, and wondering what comes next. We will fight back.
American taxpayers should not be left to pay the bill for Elon Musk’s illegal actions, which are now being challenged in court. I introduced the Nobody Elected Elon Musk Act, which would ensure that Musk and other Special Government Employees in charge of DOGE are liable for their illegal actions.
Every day, it’s becoming more and more clear that DOGE isn’t what they say it is. Dismantling agencies, firing tens of thousands of Americans, giving themselves government contracts. Even House & Senate Republicans and Trump’s own Cabinet Secretaries know this is not normal. We are fighting back!
Every taxpayer should get their refund on time. But Trump's decision to fire 7,000 IRS staff may delay refunds & cause financial pain for many Americans. I joined a letter with @ross.house.gov, @doggett.house.gov, and 130+ of our colleagues in demanding answers from the IRS.
