It was fun to be a part of El Tigre Fest in #Tigard, a celebration of #OR06’s Hispanic & Filipino communities! 🐅
Not just during Hispanic Heritage Month & Filipino American History Month, I'm committed to ensuring our communities have the necessary resources to thrive for generations to come.
I’m signed on to legislation that would pay our troops during a shutdown. Why won’t Mike Johnson bring the House back to do something?
‼️ NEWS ‼️
Republicans have created a self-imposed health care crisis.
I spoke at a Steering and Policy Committee hearing about how they’re raising costs for the people in my district.
Watch my full remarks 👇
I spoke at a Steering & Policy Committee hearing where I shared #OR06 constituents Conni and Steve's stories.
If Republicans do not extend the premium tax credits, Americans like Conni and Steve will face devastating impacts to their wallets.
To my Republican colleagues: do the right thing.
It's been ONE week since the Republicans’ shutdown began.
I've been working with @housedemocrats.bsky.social colleagues to:
‼️ Protect your health care
‼️ Call on Republicans to get back to the negotiating table
‼️ Lower YOUR costs
Watch my video to learn how Republicans put us in this mess 👇
I know how Republicans can help hardworking Americans.
✅ They can cancel their cuts to health care.
✅ Extend the premium tax credits.
✅ Lower costs for families.
✅ Save health care. Help Oregonians.
✅ Reopen the government.
Let's start there.
Latinas are paid only 54 cents for every $1 paid to white men.
As a proud Latina, I’m fighting to pass the Paycheck Fairness Act to ensure that every woman in the workforce has access to the fair and equal pay they deserve.
We need equal pay for #Trabajadoras everywhere. Listen to hear more ⬇️
‼️TODAY‼️ I will speak at the Steering & Policy Committee to share real stories from #OR06 about the consequences of not extending the ACA premium tax credits.
Republicans: Come back to the table to reopen the government & prevent rising health care costs.
Stay tuned to hear more ⬇️
That’s why I signed onto the Federal Firefighter Paycheck Protection Act to protect all federal firefighters during a shutdown.
Read more about it here ⬇️ (2/2)
Our federal firefighters keep serving, even during the Republicans’ government shutdown.
This #FirePreventionWeek, we must ensure that our firefighters have the resources they need to keep our communities safe from these deadly blazes. (1/2)
I met with furloughed AFGE & AFSCME government employees who are being impacted by the Republicans' shutdown.
These hardworking public servants deserve stability. I’ll keep supporting them during the middle of this Republican mess, and every day after.
Americans are too smart for Republican shenanigans.
I will not give up until you get the health care you need.

RAJU: You swore in 2 GOP members during pro forma session. Why not swear in Grijalva? Does it have to do w/her signature on Epstein petition?
JOHNSON: It has nothing to do with that. We'll swear her in when everybody is back
R: Why not now?
J: Uh - we'll schedule it, I guess, as soon as she wants
Thank you to the nearly 19,000 Oregonians who tuned into my telephone town hall last night!

It is crucial that the violence in Gaza and Israel comes to a full stop and that all hostages are returned safely. The U.S. must play a role toward a brokered peace for the Jewish and Palestinian people. We must work toward a world where everyone can live freely from war. (2/2)
Today marks the second anniversary of the tragic October 7th terrorist attacks in Israel. My thoughts continue to be with the victims and their loved ones. The hostages must be returned to their families. (1/2)
Oregon does not need nor want the National Guard.
President Trump's gross overreach of power shows that he believes he is above the Constitution.
I am glad that a federal judge has granted a temporary restraining order on the Trump Admin from sending the California National Guard to Portland.
