Today marks the second anniversary of the tragic October 7th terrorist attacks in Israel. My thoughts continue to be with the victims and their loved ones. The hostages must be returned to their families. (1/2)
Oregon does not need nor want the National Guard.
President Trump's gross overreach of power shows that he believes he is above the Constitution.
I am glad that a federal judge has granted a temporary restraining order on the Trump Admin from sending the California National Guard to Portland.
How did we get to a government shutdown and why is it related to the Affordable Care Act?
Let’s talk about it and how it will impact you.
Watch and share my full explainer.
Today marks the beginning of Mental Illness Awareness Week 💚
We are stronger when we support one another, reduce stigma, and share potentially life-saving resources. Remember, you are not alone.
The 988 Lifeline is always available to provide free, confidential help.
On National Child Health Day, we should be focused on ensuring children have access to high-quality & affordable care.
Sadly, Republicans have shut down the government, jeopardizing health care for Americans.
Children are the future, & we must safeguard health care so they lead healthy lives.
It's day 6 of the government shutdown, and I wanted to see if the SSA office was open, because online it said that they were closed. At the time of my visit, the office was open.
If you need assistance with Social Security, the physical office is currently open, although services may be limited.
Today, I will be hosting a telephone town hall at 5:00 PM PT!

My statement on federal courts pausing President Trump’s deployment of the National Guard to Oregon.
It's October 3rd. The third day of Republicans' dirty shutdown.
And I want to do a little Friday fact check because I hear that they are spreading misinformation... AKA... LIES about their shutdown.
Here is the thing, Americans want lower costs and affordable health care.
Republicans are not listening and turning their backs on their constituents.
@housedemocrats.bsky.social are united in this fight.
On Monday, October 6, 2025, at 5:00 PM PT, I will be hosting a LIVE telephone town hall for you! Join the conversation to hear updates from me about what is going on with the Republicans’ shutdown.
RSVP at tinyurl.com/yxcbuzua or (503) 385-0906 to receive a phone call at the time of the event.
Americans will start to feel the negative effects of the shutdown.
They will feel it at airports, they will feel it when they need assistance from federal agencies, & more.
Republicans, open the government & protect health care so the American people do not have to pay the price of your shutdown.
The Trump administration is once again breaking the law by weaponizing federal agencies to push blatantly partisan propaganda.
He can’t leverage agencies for political gain, and he can’t put words in federal employees’ mouths.
16,000 folks in #OR06 will see their premiums increase by around $1,500 per month. That's right, 16,000 people. That’s outrageous. Americans shouldn’t be pawns in Republicans’ political games.

It's Thursday, October 2, and it's Day 2 of the Republican government shutdown.
President Trump is out here spreading lies that Democrats do not want to negotiate with our colleagues on the other side. That is just fake news.
We are ready to come to the table, but are they?
President Trump should know what an insurrection looks like… because despite what he says I can tell you that there is not one happening in Portland right now.
Watch my interview with Major Garrett for more.
Wishing a meaningful Yom Kippur to those observing in #OR06. G'mar Chatima Tovah!
