I was at the Manufactured Housing Institute’s housing showcase to see new, innovative, & affordable models, including some made in #OR06. I'll continue to work on solutions to help more people access affordable housing. (2/2)
Manufactured housing plays an important role in tackling the housing crisis & in giving families more options. (1/2)
That’s why I introduced the Mental Health for Latinos Act. Read more here ⬇️ #MentalHealthMonday (2/2)
Recent surveys show that only 47% of Hispanic adults with any mental illness got the resources they need.
As we honor #HispanicHeritageMonth, know that I'm committed to breaking stigma & will work to equip our community with culturally relevant mental health care & treatment. (1/2)
Me when Republicans keep pushing crazy bad policies that prioritize billionaires over hardworking families 😃
Happy Hispanic Heritage Month! As a Latina and the daughter of a Mexican immigrant, I am proud to celebrate our rich culture and the vibrant Latino community.
I will continue to work to ensure Latinos have a seat at the policymaking table. Watch my video to learn more about my commitment.
As a daughter of a law enforcement officer, I am proud to recognize National Police Woman Day.
Every day, brave women put on the badge to serve and protect. I am grateful for their sacrifice and will always support our first responders who dedicate their lives to keeping our communities safe.
BAD NEWS: The Trump Admin is TAKING back $86.6 million in solar funds that would have delivered reliable and affordable energy for low-income families.
GOOD NEWS: In Oregon, we are not backing down.
We’re dedicated to a more sustainable and affordable path for our children and grandchildren.
Let me get this straight: Trump’s policies will REDUCE the average income for all Americans except the top 1%, all while middle-class households lose out on around $1,300?
Yep, sounds like Trump’s America.
This is a slap in the face to hardworking families who are left in an even WORSE position.

If you get your health care through the Affordable Care Act, watch my message to you about how your premiums may go up the next time you re-enroll.
Make sure to share this video with at least one neighbor who needs to know this information. (1/2)
September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. Almost 300 children in the U.S. are diagnosed with cancer every week.
This month is an opportunity to shine a light on pediatric cancer, stand with families, and drive progress in research, care, and support. 💛
1 in 6 Oregonians rely on SNAP to put food on their table every day.
Yet Republicans’ Big, Ugly Bill is making states take on enormous new costs, which may force them to scale back SNAP benefits.
This is not what hardworking families deserve.
President Trump, this is anti-union and anti-American, and it needs to be stopped. We owe these courageous heroes a significant debt of gratitude. (3/3)
However, due to President Trump's illegal firings and federal budget cuts, the benefits of the World Trade Center Health Program are at risk.
Without adequate staff to approve benefits, many 9/11 responders and survivors will be left without the necessary treatment they deserve. (2/3)
Today is September 11th, a day to honor the lives lost & show our gratitude for the brave heroes who searched for survivors & cleaned up the site. Many of them are members of AFSCME & rely on the World Trade Center Health Program for benefits related to 9/11 illnesses & mental health issues. (1/3)
People experiencing a mental health crisis shouldn't worry about accessing care because of their ZIP code.
With Republicans' cuts to Medicaid in their Big, Ugly Bill, receiving timely, affordable mental health care will become an even bigger challenge.

I had the opportunity to talk with folks from Climate Action Campaign Oregon Coalition in DC the other day! We discussed pushing back on the Trump Admin’s dangerous attacks on the environment & clean energy.
Even in the face of setbacks, we remain steadfast in building a sustainable future for all.
September 11, 2001, is a day that we will never forget.
On the 24th anniversary, we stand in solemn remembrance of the thousands of innocent lives lost and honor the heroism of the first responders who answered the call to danger.
