I introduced the Streamlining Affordable Housing Act to cut red tape, lower costs, and build affordable homes faster. My bill would help states simplify the process so more families in the Inland Empire and across the country can afford a place to call home.
Working families in the IE are paying the price for Donald Trump and House Republicans’ failed economic policies. While Wall Street profits, Americans face surging costs at the pump and grocery store. We need lower costs and policies that put working people first.
Claremont High students aren’t waiting around to demand safety and justice, they’re leading the way. I was proud to join their walkout as they raised their voices for survivors, pushed back against silence, and reminded everyone that no means no. #ClaremontCA #EndSexualViolence #StudentRights #CA35
"No one should die in the custody of the United States government," says @hispaniccaucus.bsky.social Chair Rep. @repespaillat.bsky.social. "Congress must use every available oversight tool to ensure those responsible are held accountable and these preventable tragedies do not continue."
I toured the women’s facilities, where women reported sewage backing up while meals were served. Now that this facility is federally owned, taxpayers deserve answers. Hardworking people with no prior violations are being taken from job sites and treated like criminals.
I introduced bipartisan legislation with Rep. Chuck Fleischmann to connect more workers with advanced manufacturing careers and keep America competitive. We need to make sure American workers have the skills and training to compete for good-paying jobs.
We’re heading to Adelanto to demand answers. Families are sounding the alarm, serious questions remain about the treatment of people in ICE detention, and taxpayers are footing the bill. People deserve to know what is happening, where their money is going, and who is being held accountable.
I pushed for $25M in federal funding to complete the 71 Freeway improvements in Pomona, and we got it done. Kudos to the Mayor and City Council for their work to move this project forward. This investment will improve safety and reduce congestion for Inland Empire commuters.
WIC supports 7 million mothers, infants, and young children. Yet more than 4 in 10 eligible families miss out. My Improving Access to WIC Act cuts red tape, simplifies enrollment, and helps more families get the nutrition they need.
Excited to celebrate the groundbreaking of Pomona College’s new Center for Global Engagement! The Center will house 200 students and create new opportunities for global learning, cultural exchange, and community engagement. Congratulations to Pomona College on this exciting milestone!
This Breast Cancer Awareness Day, we honor the lives lost, celebrate the survivors, and stand strong with everyone continuing their fight. No one should go through this journey without the care and support they deserve. I am committed to expanding resources for patients and survivors from day one.
Racist conspiracy theories have no place in federal law enforcement, and they should never be used to justify targeting a sitting Member of Congress. This administration’s abuse of power to try and settle scores raises serious concerns about the weaponization of federal law enforcement.
Trump caused the diesel crisis driving up costs for truckers, farmers, and families across America. Now, he’s taking a desperate shortcut, lifting pressure on Putin to buy Russian oil. Funding a brutal foreign war to clean up his own domestic policy failure puts our entire nation at risk.
Being undocumented does not mean you lose your rights. And it certainly does not give federal agents a free pass to use force without answering for it. A 5-year-old child was in that car. Instead of explaining what happened, DHS is attacking the victim’s character to justify its agents’ actions.

We were proud to celebrate the Mid-Autumn Children’s Festival with the Vietnamese Community of Pomona Valley! The evening was a beautiful celebration of Vietnamese culture, community, and tradition. Thank you to everyone who came together to make this celebration so special.
I introduced the Improving Access to WIC Act to help more moms and young children receive nutrition support. My bill would help states cut paperwork and appointments, make it easier for doctors to connect patients with WIC, and identify eligible families already enrolled in Medicaid or SNAP.
