Met with members of nonprofit organizations that have lost funding because of disruptions to the Dislocated Workers Program. Their work has been helping our Maui workers get back on their feet and back to work after surviving the fires. Mahalo for your service, we will continue to fight for you!

Celebrated the grand re-opening of the Lahaina Clubhouse for the Boys & Girls Club. Mahalo to BGCM for your unwavering support of the community in the wake of the fires and for providing hope and a space for young people to come together & carve a bright future for themselves.
Welcome home!
Proud to stand with over 200 Democrats challenging Trump’s unlawful dismantling of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, our watchdog against unfair corporate practices. We can't let billionaire con artists in the White House get away with robbing the American people. We deserve better.
Attacking USPS is the same as attacking lifelines to food and medicine for our rural communities. I stood with the NALC this week to send a clear message to anyone trying to dismantle, privatize, or weaken the Postal Service: If you mess with the mail, we will #FightLikeHell!
We need to hear from those impacted by the Trump Administration & DOGE.
The best way to fight back is to put a human face on the funding cuts, illegal firings, and all the other unconstitutional assaults against the federal government.

Today, CAPAC members met with @dpcc.house.gov Leadership to discuss how we can meet Asian Americans, Native Hawaiians, and Pacific Islanders where they are and ensure our communities are not left behind.
With our dislocated Maui workers now being laid off due to funding issues, it's more important than ever to fight to protect these critical programs. A big mahalo to Keolamau with KAʻEHU, who helps those impacted by the fires to return to work & continue to heal.
Republicans want bullshit tax breaks for billionaires and corporations. Guess how they're paying for it:
By cutting off 82,000 in Hawaiʻi from SNAP, eliminating Medicaid for over 350,000 keiki & kūpuna, and increasing health premiums for over 10,000 Hawaiʻi residents.
Hell no.
REMINDER: I am holding a town hall in Pāhoa TODAY to offer assistance with federal issues, cover policies affecting Hawaiʻi, and answer questions & concerns in the community.
RSVP at bit.ly/pahoatownhall. I look forward to seeing you there!
A big mahalo to all who attended my Wahiawā Town Hall on Thursday—from Waialua to Honolulu to Kapolei, we appreciate everyone who came out to share their stories & concerns for Hawaiʻi and with this Administration. We are in this together & I will continue to fight for our people.
FOR THOSE WHO CANNOT ATTEND IN PERSON: Wahiawā Town Hall will be broadcast on live TV (ʻOlelo) and live-streamed on my Facebook page!

As our government gets hacked up, it'll take courage for Republicans to ask whether this is good for the American people & the Constitution.
I will continue to say "hell no" to blind attacks on federal workers, health care, food assistance, education & critical resources our communities depend on.
America is staring down the barrel of a $2.5 trillion cut to Medicaid that would affect millions of seniors & our rural communities.
These arenʻt cost savings. These are neighbors, friends, parents, kids.
I'm calling for a rural health moonshot. We can and must fight back.
Happy Valentine's Day!
Outside with the National Education Association to send one simple, clear message to President Musk and his sidekick Trump: Protect Students. Protect Public Schools.
The Trump Administration's shutdown of USAID and other foreign assistance funding endangers our national security and intelligence.
Weʻre literally robbing ourselves of tools from the toolbox and giving our adversaries a leg-up. youtu.be/DVBoavC3HBY
Mahalo to my friends at the Hawaiʻi State Teachers Association for coming in and sharing their concerns about the future of the U.S. Department of Education. We appreciate all that you do as educators & will stand by public education and our teachers to help you build the next generation of Hawaiʻi!

CAPAC Members met with Leader @hakeem-jeffries.bsky.social today to discuss actions we are taking to protect AANHPI communities from harmful cuts proposed by Trump and Congressional Republicans.
We will do whatever it takes, through legislation and litigation, to stand up for our communities.
Our farmers depend on our federal workers to help keep them afloat—providing loans, financial assistance & technical support. These are the same workers the Trump Administration wants to get rid of. It's chaos. #ForkOff 🥄 youtu.be/cp87MIwkiUk?...
