What we long suspected has now been made clear in a finding from a District Court Judge: this Administration’s decision to go after Kilmar Abrego García is a vindictive prosecution. They’re weaponizing our justice system and threatening the rights of all. This cannot stand.
Another outrageous action. The Netanyahu govt is banning over 30 aid orgs — including CARE, Mercy Corps & Doctors Without Borders groups — from providing life-saving aid to people in Gaza.  Another betrayal of humanity. And, once again, the Trump Admin says and does nothing.
When Congress returns in January, the House will vote on a 3yr extension of ACA tax credits, helping us prevent the worst of this crisis. Leader Thune has refused to say he'll put the bill up for a vote in the Senate. The longer he delays, the more Americans pay. Give us the vote.
Remember who was sitting right behind Donald Trump on his Inauguration Day? The richest man in the world, the tech billionaire tycoons, and his billionaire cabinet. He’s certainly delivering his “golden age” for them, but it’s crumbs for everyone else. That’s the Trump economy.
Another reminder of the staggering stench of corruption flowing out of this presidency. He’s not working for you — he’s working for those who are willing to sell out our democracy and Constitution for personal profit. This should not be normalized. www.nytimes.com/interactive/...
"Misrepresentations" and "bad faith." That’s how a federal judge once again described the conduct of Trump Admin lawyers in Kilmar Abrego Garcia’s case. They need to stop lying to the judge & the public and protect his due process rights. That is what this has always been about.
This is what we’ve been warning about. Trump’s attacks on the media are having their intended effect: increasingly compliant elements of the corporate media are unwilling or afraid to take him on — which poses a direct threat to a free press.
Today I joined patriots at the Kennedy Center to make clear that Trump’s desecration of the Center will not stand. It’s not a matter of whether, but of when, his name will come down. We will not allow him to despoil what belongs to the American people.
Wednesday morning, 7 ICE agents in Salisbury, MD, smashed in windows & violently dragged a mother out of her car while she was dropping her daughter off at elementary school. These abusive tactics are absolutely unacceptable. www.baltimoresun.com/2025/12/17/s...
All Trump had to do last night was acknowledge the economic pain millions of Americans are feeling as prices continue to rise — but he couldn't even do that. Instead, he spent 19 minutes telling you not to believe your eyes or wallet. No wonder Survivor fans were so miffed.
Quickly lost track of how many lies Trump shouted out tonight, but the main takeaway is that he has clearly lost touch with reality. Delusional. The most honest thing he said was, “no one can believe what’s going on.”
🚨 A court just said the EPA must stop blocking the investments from our Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund. We created this program to support innovation that spurs good-paying jobs & lowers costs for Americans. EPA's attempts to clawback these investments are illegal.
Yet another case of Trump looking to protect his donors & buddies in the oil & gas industry, even if it means killing good paying jobs in clean energy and polluting the air we breathe. In Trump-world, it’s all about what you’ve done for him.
House Dems have the votes to pass a 3yr extension of ACA tax credits. Now Senate Republicans are the only thing standing in the way of getting this bill to the President & preventing huge spikes in costs for millions. Leader Thune: commit to bringing this bill to a vote, now.
Every Member of Congress should be repulsed that these words came from the mouths of our colleagues. Yet this language is so normal for Republicans, they can apparently spew it w/o repercussions. Anti-Muslim bigotry has no place in the halls of Congress or our nation. Despicable.
In 1951, Barbara Rose Johns led a walkout of her segregated high school. Now, her statue will stand in the same spot in the Capitol where Robert E. Lee's once was. Even as this Admin tries to erase the Civil Rights struggle, we must continue the work to recognize these heroes.
