Last week, I hosted a roundtable conversation with Latino students at the University of Mary Washington.
I’m grateful to each student who showed up, spoke openly, and trusted me with their perspectives.
Their voices reflect the strength of their communities and the future they’re building.
Eric Swalwell and Tony Gonzales should resign. If they don’t, I’ll vote to expel them. It is clear they have betrayed their oath of office. My thoughts are with the brave women who have come forward with their stories.
One year ago, I called on VA Secretary Collins to fully staff the VA Health Care Center in Spotsylvania.   On Friday, I sent my fifth letter to the VA — because they still have not explained why Virginia veterans are waiting up to 88 days for care.   Our veterans deserve better.
On Yom HaShoah, we honor the memories of the six million innocent Jews murdered during the Holocaust at the hands of the Nazi regime.    As we honor their memories, we renew our commitment to stand against antisemitism and hatred in all its forms.
Corn is one of the top crops grown in Virginia, earning farmers nearly $300 million annually.  Some farmers are choosing not to plant corn as rising fertilizer costs make it difficult to turn a profit.  Virginia’s farmers don’t deserve the rising costs that come with this administration.
Fredericksburg’s Caroline Street has been voted the “Best Main Street in the South” by Garden & Gun magazine!    I’m thrilled to see Caroline Street getting the recognition it deserves. It’s a place that perfectly captures the spirit and heart of our Fredericksburg community.
Great news! Today, Governor Spanberger signed into law bills that will increase the Virginia minimum wage to $15 an hour and ensure minimum wage protections for farm workers.   This marks a long-overdue step toward fairness for the people who keep our communities running.
I hosted an Afghan Listening Session at Masjid Aliya alongside Imam Shehata and Afghan Evac Founder and Director Shawn VanDiver.  I was grateful to hear directly from constituents about how current immigration policies are impacting their families abroad and their access to benefits here at home.
It’s outrageous that anyone is profiting — to the tune of hundreds of thousands of dollars — off insider knowledge of U.S. national security decisions. Polymarket must immediately turn over all records tied to these bets to Congress. There must be accountability.
As a dad, there’s nothing more important to me than making sure every child has access to the resources they need to thrive.   That’s why I’m proud to see $1.4 MILLION in federal funding heading for the Fredericksburg City Schools Head Start Program.
On Tuesday, I met with members of Pack 1364 to hear about their efforts to earn their civic engagement badge.    They asked insightful questions and are already showing strong civic leadership. Keep up the great work!
President Trump is using dangerous, inflammatory rhetoric to distract from a simple truth: he has no plan for Iran.   America cannot be great if it is not also good, and under his leadership we are losing sight of the values that make this country exceptional.
I’ve heard directly from thousands of Virginians who are concerned about the human and economic toll of another unnecessary overseas conflict.  They’ve made their position clear: they do not want another prolonged war in the Middle East. Secretary Hegseth should step down immediately.
Congress must get back to work and put a check on this rogue president.   Speaker Johnson needs to call the House back into session to pass a War Powers Resolution and rein in Trump's reckless impulses.    More with Laura Coates👇
People are making millions betting on military actions before they happen, raising concerns that insiders may be exploiting classified information for profit. This is a threat to our national security and puts our troops at risk. I’m calling on Polymarket to share all records tied to these bets.
